"Why are you doing this?" Trinia fluttered her eyes open as she heard the voice screaming in her head. She looked around her and discovered that she was still inside the cell.
"Who is there?" Trinia asked and rubbed her eyes hoping to see someone or something pop out from the walls or outside the walls but nothing happened. She had been dragged down into a cold room by the guards assigned by Ansel. The room was freezing as its name. When Trinia first got to the room, she cried and hit the door that was made of transparent glass. She could see the Outside of the room but she was unable to use her powers inside the room. Not even a glint of light appeared from her palm.
"Why are you doing this?" The voice sounded again and Trinia jumped to her feet and hit the wall. "Get me out of here!" She yelled. "There is someone here with me!" She yelled but nothing happened.
"Trinia!" The voice whispered.
"Get away from me!" Trinia screamed and held her head. "Don't come closer to me, please. "
"Turn!" The voice ordered in a soft tone. "Turn little human!" The voice grew harsher and louder.
Trinia body shook terribly as she turned to face whosoever was in the cell with her. She gasped when she saw herself staring back. Trinia eyes widened and she touched her face and her hands. "Where am I and why are we two?"
The other Trinia smiled sheepishly and folded her arms together. "It's so sad to say that you didn't recognize me," She tutted.
"I'm dead?" Trinia asked.
The other girl shook her head in response. "I thought you'll be wise enough to know who I am but it seems that I am wrong," The girl scoffed and lowered her head. When she raised it, she smiled at Trinia.
"Stop smiling like that," Trinia shakes terribly and buried her face in her palm. "Who are you?"
"I am Vanessa stupid!" The girl replied Trinia. "You are occupying my body and you can't even recognize me?" She frowned at Trinia.
Trinia stopped shaking and turned to face Vanessa. "I am getting confused right now," she sighed briefly and pointed toward the real Vanesa. "If you are here then it means that you are here to recover your body right?" Trinia asked her.
Vanessa shook her head in response but that didn't answer Trinia's answer so she asked again. "If you are not here to recover your body, may I ask why you have come here exactly?"
"I am not here with you human and I can't recover my body because I died alongside your body when you died, "Vanessa replied her.
" I am dead?" Trinia rubbed her forehead and tears welled up in her eyes. She suddenly felt sick to her stomach and her pace quickened. She never expected that she could have been dead. It made her wonder how her family was doing at that moment. How did they survive my death? Trinia asked herself but she couldn't find answers to her questions. She faced Vanessa with tears streaming down her face. "So I am dead?" She asked.
"Yes," Vanessa answered with no hint of emotion in her tone. It was as if she didn't care if Trinia's real body was gone.
"Why are you speaking like this?" Trinia stared blankly at Vanessa who had changed into a different person. The writer of the diary and the one seating from across her seemed like completely different people." Why are you acting as if you don't care?"
Vanessa grinned at her."After my death, I was made to be a being without emotions," Vanessa blew air on her nails. "I was made a different person and I must say that I love the new me."
Trinia eyes suspiciously. "If you are here then it means you didn't die right?"
"I am dead," Vanessa answered her and heaved a sigh. "I died alongside your body in the hospital but someone I didn't pass and I have to spend years between the spirit realm and the realm of the living. "
"Why?"
"Because the goddesses are giving me a chance to be reborn as a completely different person," Vanessa frowned and clenched her fists. "I don't want to be reborn into this pathetic world!" She gritted her teeth and punched the walls of the room.
Trinia visibly gulped scared of Vanessa's fury. Someone she was happy that Vanessa had changed into a completely different person but at the same time, Trinia realized that she had to keep living as Vanessa. She heaved a sigh and got noticed by Vanessa who stared at her as if she was observing her. "Why are you staring at me like that?" Trinia asked.
"I admire your courage human and I must say that I love how reckless you are," Vanessa smiled at her. "I admire how you are heading to your early grave. "
Trinia jumped to her feet and pointed a finger at Vanessa. "How could you say something like that!" She shouted at her. "This is your body! Shouldn't warn me or something?"
"Warn you?" Vanessa laughed. "Human!" She shouted and also stood up. "If you wish to end your life then go ahead because I won't stop you!" Vanessa raised her hand and a dagger appeared in her hand. She moved closer to Trinia and handed it over to her. "Go ahead and end your life in this instance!"
"What are you doing?" Trinia shouted at her." how could you give me such ideas!"
Instead of replying to her, Vanessa pushed the dagger closer to Trinia's heart. "End your life now!"
"Enough!" Trinia yelled unable to take it any longer. Vanessa was pushed backward and the dagger fell to the ground. "If you are here to taunt me then I must say that you are crazy!"
Vanessa laughed and appeared in front of Trinia in a blink of an eye. She placed a hand on Trinia's chest. "Let me show you how you were born and why you were chosen by the goddesses!" Vanessa said.
Trinia stared at her dumbfounded unable to say anything because she could barely understand what Vanessa had said. She moaned in pain for a few seconds as her soul shifted from her body and her real body dropped to the ground. "What's just happened?" Trinia gasped as she stared at her real body on the ground. "How I'm I on the ground?"
"Because I need to take you on a journey," Vanessa grabbed Trinia's hand. A bright light appeared inside the cell and Vanessa walked into the light.
They appeared inside the lobby of a hospital. Doctors in their white lab coats walked around with their stethoscopes around their necks. A nurse in a purple uniform assist an elderly out of the hospital while a few people sat on the bench waiting to be called for their appointment. Trinia recognized the hospital because it was where she was born and died. "Hope hospital," Trinia stared around. "Are we in the human world!" She asked.
"Welcome to your world," Vanessa spread her arms wide and turned around.
"Why are we here?" Trinia curiously asked.
Vanessa pointed to the entrance of the hospital. "Your fate was written from here."
"What...." Trinia didn't get to finish as a pregnant woman was wheeled into the hospital. Trinia's eyes almost popped out of the socket when she realized who the woman was.
It was her mother.
"Mum," she whispered and pointed towards her. "How?"
"Fate," Vanessa answered. "You and I were born at the same hour!" She revealed the shocking truth that Trinia never expected to hear.
