"What?!" Adrian’s voice ripped through the pristine marble lobby, a harsh explosion of shock and instant betrayal.
The spell snapped. Realizing exactly who was standing in front of her, Rosa violently wrenched herself out of Giovanni's possessive grip, stumbling back a step.
Adrian didn't wait for an explanation. His face twisted in pure, unadulterated fury. He cast one final, burning look at the two of them before turning sharply on his heel and storming toward the exit.
"Adrian! Wait!" Rosa cried out, her heart leaping into her throat. She made a desperate move to run after him, but a heavy, unyielding anchor caught her arm. Giovanni’s grip was tight, his dark eyes flashing with dangerous jealousy as he held her back, his jaw clenched hard enough to crack.
