In a few minutes, cute boy handed off my drink and headed into the back, and I found a table—not too close to the counter but close enough she could see me when she came out. In case she wanted to turn around and go back in. Soon, a loud, high voice was coming down the hall saying something about, “—and so I took him up on it, and it was hilarious. I’d never been to a Renaissance Faire before! People were wearing the funnest clothes, oh, my God.” I couldn’t help looking up. A gorgeous, tall, thin woman with flawless ivory skin rolled up behind the counter, talking animatedly about her adventures at the hilarious renaissance faire.
