It's morning, i can't believe am going to have lunch with Michael later today am so excited i can't wait. I thought to myself. I got out of bed, put on my robe and went to Gabriel's room, he was up, getting ready for school. Good morning mum, am almost ready for school. Good morning honey, i will go pack your lunch for school i will see you downstairs. Okay mummy, thanks. I went downstairs and saw my mother talking on the phone, smiling and laughing, i smiled at her, and went straight to the kitchen to prepare lunch for Gabriel. Soon after, Gabriel came downstairs, had breakfast and went to school.
Mother, who were you talking to on the phone? you looked really happy and you were blushing. Oh it was Andrew my dear, he was making me laugh. Making you laugh? with the way you were blushing i could tell you really like him a lot maybe you love him? Sonia, this is a really serious conversation, you shouldn't talk about it so playfully. I laughed and said. Oh mother, please you are the one making it look so serious by worrying about what i think. I held her hands and said. Mother, you know i care about your happiness, if Andrew makes you happy then am happy too, so you don't have to worry about what i think you have your life to live i suggest you do what makes you happy and live your life to the fullest. How did i manage to have such an amazing daughter, thank you so much for understanding me i love you. I love you too mother. She hugged me so tight, then the door bell rang. Lisa, i called out, could you see who is at the door? Yes Miss Sonia.
Mother and i sat on the couch waiting for Lisa to come back. Miss Sonia, you have a delivery from different places. Different places? i said wondering who they are from. Who is it from? mother asked Lisa. Ma'am, the first one came from Doctor Walters, from the hospital. Oh wow it must be the things i would need for work on Monday i said excited, i took the box from Lisa and opened it. Mother, it's my ID badge, letter of employment and oh wow my Scrubs awwwwwn look they have my name on it, am so happy. Congratulations my love am so proud of you. Thanks mother. Lisa, the second delivery who is it from? i asked. Miss Sonia, it's from Michael Rogers, there is a letter attached. Lisa said. From Michael? i didn't know you and Michael are already a thing, care explain what's going on? Mother it's not what you think. Not what i think? she said laughing. He sent you beautiful flowers and a box of chocolates with a letter attached, there is definitely something going on. Lisa could you get us a glass of juice? Yes ma'am right away. Go on read the letter she said. "Thanks for accepting my invite, i hope you love the flowers and chocolates, can't wait to see you at lunch. Love Michael". Love Michael? you two already seem close, isn't he sweet? Michael and i are just getting to know each other better mother, there is nothing serious really going on between us. Well not yet, with the way things are looking, you two are going to be dating soon i would be so happy for you my dear. Don't get your hopes up mother. Am going to get ready he will send a car to pick me up soon. i said as i went upstairs.
I wore a mini gown, let my hair down, put on some make up, picked up my bag and went downstairs. Honey, you look so beautiful and cute am loving that dress and your sandals it's a perfect match. Thanks mother, i hope the car hasn't arrived yet, i took so long to get ready, i was having a hard time picking a dress. The car arrived almost an hour ago. she said laughing. Oh my God, mother why didn't you hurry me up? am going to be late on my first date with Michael. Relax honey, you are worth the wait and he knows that for sure. I got into the car and we drove to this fancy restaurant it's so beautiful. The car stopped in front of the restaurant and the chauffeur came down to open the door for me. I came down and walked into the restaurant, i saw Michael sitting on our table having a glass of water while waiting for me, he was wearing a suit he looked so cute. I walked to him and said. Hi, am so sorry am late. He stood up immediately and said. You are worth the wait baby girl, you look so beautiful. Here, have a sit, you must be starving. he said as he pulled out the chair for me. I sat down. Thank you, and am really sorry am late. i said staring at him. It's okay baby girl, like i said earlier, you are worth the wait. What would you like to order? he asked. Michael, the restaurant is so beautiful and fancy thanks for bringing me here but this is not me. If i want to get to know you better, it won't be at a place like this, i want to get to know the real you and not the stuck up Michael. He laughed and said. Fair enough, so what do you have in mind baby girl?. Well, i have alot of ideas, i said laughing. But first, you need to change out of that suit, i want you to wear something more casual. He laughed so hard and said. Wow, baby girl i love where this is going. Okay then, let's get out of here. Shall we? he said letting out his hand. i smiled at him and took his hand and we walked out of the restaurant holding hands.
