About to leave him

Sierra POV.

We finished shopping and went to the motel. Damon put the bags into the corner and just hugged me for a bit. I felt content in this moment with him. His scent engulfed me.

"Feel free to have a shower I will get us some food. Lock the door okay " said Damon smiling.

He went to subway and got an order of two pizza subs with a chicken schnitzel and he had ordered my favourite salads. He must have smelt them when I use to make them at the pack. He bought large drinks as well. In my mind I cannot help but think how much I love this place. It's our place, Our home. Even though it is just a motel room. I grab some clothes to shower and  I decided to stay in the shower to just relax my sore muscles. Feeling like it would wash away Michael’s marks and cuts but it didn’t. I started to cry, for a little while anyway. That is until I smelt it, the smell made me smile. I smelt his scent and the smell of food. My stomach even growls that loud and I hear him laugh.

"Please tell me that was your stomach" he says in a cheeky tone.

"What else could it be?" I asked curious.

"Could have been a fart" Damon says laughing.

I'm getting annoyed because I'm hungry and there is no towels, so I just walk out naked and throw clothes on while dripping wet. Damon’s stare was on me. I could see him looking at the bites on my chest. Then I reacted to his comment.

"If it was a fart you would know. You’d be dead." I say trying to make him think I’m serious.

"Good luck with that. It won’t kill me." He says so confident.

I sit on the couch in the corner of the room and Damon follows with the food. My stomach and myself were keen for the food. Damon placed the food on the table and then he grabbed the drinks and sat down. This is agony. The smell is teasing me. I am hungry and I need to eat. I haven’t eaten in days. So I put my hand closer to the food and Damon stares at me like a challenge.

“Patience darling. In a minute. I want to say something first.” Said Damon.

“Okay, say it because I am really hungry.” I told him in a serious tone.

My stomach growls again and he chuckles.

“I just want to say that from now on, I will always be near you. I will be there to protect you, to keep you safe. I will put your needs before my own. No matter what. I want you to know this before we have our first meal together. We will settle down, even live among the humans, and we can settle down. We can get married or we can be mated like usual but live among humans. It wouldn’t be hard. For years I worked while watching after you, I have lots of money saved up. Lived with my uncle so I had a roof over my head and now, my world is your world. Sierra, we can live together in the woods or in the towns. I am okay with what you choose, But all I want is to ensure your happiness.” Damon said.

His heart poured out and all I wanted to do was hold him and cuddle. But my mind had other plans. The food.

“Damon I love you, but I need to eat. Then we can discuss it.” I said to him as I kissed the back of his hand.

"How much longer until you turn 18?" Damon asks me.

Food in my mouth from the first bite. I try to answer but it comes out all muffled. And he just laughs.

“You just eat, we can chat later.” Damon chuckled.

I smiled and just ate. Enjoying the flavor and food. I eat it slowly, but Damon finishes quickly and then grabs some spare clothes to shower. I just enjoy my meal. When I finished, I ended up finishing my meal and then laying down. I stared at the ceiling, just couldn’t help but stare. I ended up falling asleep and didn’t hear Damon hop out of the shower. When I had awoken from my sleep I saw Damon was staring at me.

“Morning handsome.” I told him.

“It still isn’t morning yet.” Damon said chuckling.

“Whatever, it is for me.” I joked to him.

Damon smiled and hugged me again.

“Honey, how long until you turn 18?” Damon asked.

"Does it matter? I’m close to it." I answer back.

"Come on darling." He says to me as he lifts my chin.

"Sierra." Damon says in a serious tone.

"Yes?" I answer back confused.

"Don't hate me darling but we have to move soon." I looked down and nodded.

I didn’t want to leave, it is the first time I could be with my mate. Cuddling them. But I thought about it. We couldn't stay here for long.  I looked at Damon. He leaned in to kiss me but I turned away.

“I need to brush my teeth. But I don’t have a toothbrush Damon. Can we please buy one? And some girl things? I am due for my period soon.” I asked.

“Okay, we can get you some. But you don’t need your girl things,” Damon said.

He sounded annoyed but heartbroken. I was confused. I was about to ask him but he went to the bathroom and quickly shut the door. I felt like I did something wrong. I went to the bag and changed my clothes. Into a beautiful black skirt with a black singlet that made it look like a dress. Damon came out of the bathroom, his eyes were a little red. It looked like he was crying.

“Damon tell me what is wrong?” I said to him sternly.

“Sierra, just drop it. I need quiet.” Damon said in an aggressive tone.

“Damon, tell me. Please.” I cried.

Damon looked away, but I couldn’t help but be confused. Why was hurt evident in his eyes?

“Answer me.” I cried.

Damon kept ignoring me. I saw more tears fall down the side of his face as he tried looking away from me. I don’t know what to say or do. Does he not want me anymore? Is he worried about my father? Why won’t he talk to me? Or open up to me? He said he wants a future with me. Maybe I should just walk out? He doesn’t seem to even want me. He somehow changed his mind about me. Is he rejecting me as his mate? Time felt still as he kept looking away. I decided I needed to leave. I need to get out of here. But more importantly, I need to go where I belong. So I turned around and started walking to the door. When I unlocked and opened it though, I was pulled back inside. The door slammed shut and I was then pushed against the back of it. Damon stared at me. More hurt on his face. His breath is breathing uneasily on me and right into my face. His eyes had more hurt and fear in his eyes. Arms on each side of me.
