My mate

Chapter 2

When Sierra awoke she had noticed a few stray wolf hairs next to her. They smelt like her mystery hero. Sierra did not know why she loved the smell of him, nor did she want to keep them and be told that it was weird. She wanted to smell it like a child would smell flowers. The doctor came and then checked her temperature.

"How are you feeling Sierra?" Asked the Doctor.

 "I guess I'm ok. I want to meet him." Sierra answered back.

The doctor looked confused at her.

"Meet who?" Asked the Doctor.

And Sierra thinks back to only her father and friends and how her hero was gone before they arrived.

"Oh no one I guess I dreamed I was rescued. When can I go home?" Sierra asked.

"I'm afraid you can't go home your mother is missing and your father is searching for her. You will spend a few days here and then live at the pack house." Said the Doctor.

"Oh. Did my mother finally have enough of me?" Sierra asked while looking down sounding sad.

The doctor gave Sierra a chocolate milk and looked at her.

"Cheer up honey. From what I hear you had a big night. You turned wolf way to young." Said the Doctor.

Then Sierra had heard a bit of a growl very faint in the distance.

"He's back. It's mate." Said Alexine.

Sierra was worried that she was too young. Having a mate to early. 

"Can I at least just walk near edge of clearing?" Sierra asked the doctor.

The doctor nodded. With that Sierra  got up carefully and listened to Alexine.

"He's behind the big rock behind the trees straight ahead." Alexine said.

Sierra took a look behind her and tripped over on a mini rock then she had heard a laughter. Sierra  kept walking and when she was there, she smelt it. Not it him. Sierra saw him in the daylight. His beautiful coat of grey and black with hint of white fur. His werewolf eyes are blue not black which is very unusual and never heard of before. And Damn he is tall on all four legs. He leaned over her with a puppy dog smile. Sierra couldn’t help but smile and pet him on his neck and behind the ear. When Sierra touched this one spot on his neck he sneezed and looked at her like why did you do that to me? Sierra just smiled and whispered to him.

"Hello mate. I recognize your smell anywhere." Said Sierra.

He walked behind a tree and morphed into a human and stretched but made sure Sierra couldn’t see him due to her age. He stayed hidden behind the tree.

"With your permission mate, I would like to wait for you to come of age so that I could hold you and kiss you. I want to protect you. I know I am no alpha and I am a rogue. But I found you and I'm willing to hold onto you until you want me to leave you be." Said the mystery man.

Sierra smiled and walked closer keeping the tree between them. Sierra hugged him with the tree in the middle and whispered.

"I would like to be your mate when I am older. Please tell me your name? And then turn back into a wolf so you don't hide from me." Sierra said to him.

"I am Damon and my wolf’s name is Bane. But do not fret miss. The meaning of my wolf name is slayer but as you can see I am calm and would very much like to hold you one day." Said Damon.

Sierra smiled and said back to him.

"You can if you turn into a wolf so I can hug you." A giggle in her voice.

He turned straight away and nuzzled into her neck with his tail wagging rapidly. Sierra laughed as he kept trying to make her laugh. Every touch and every time he was near her face, sierra wanted a kiss but she knew she was to young...

16 year old Sierra..

As time went on Sierra would see him from her bedroom window and she would wave to him. Her wolf would tell her that he said she was beautiful. Sierra deliberately teased him as she told him she was wearing little lingerie to bed to tease him. Sierra knows she is getting older but she wants to encourage him. He wants to keep his promise to Sierra but she wanted him to break it so he could at least kiss her just once. Sierra figured if she could break it then maybe he would be happy. She felt like he is miserable without holding her because she is miserable without him. The next morning when Sierra went downstairs for breakfast the same thing happened like every morning. Her father asked her into his office.

"Who will you pick to mate with? You have one more year before we start planning. Decide." He says to Sierra.

"I pick the person who rescued me years ago father. The one who saved me from drowning and stayed with me until he heard you. He's a rogue but he is waiting for me to come of age before asking for your blessing. And I tell you the same thing every morning father. My wolf even says he is my mate. He checked on me when I was in the hospital and once a month he comes to the doctors to see me. To make sure I'm okay. He gives me food but refuses to hug and kiss me without your blessing. He's everything you would want as a mate for your daughter." Sierra explained.

Sierra looked down and realised her father was absolutely angry.

"You will not mate with a rogue! You will pick a member of the pack or I will decide one for you!" Yelled her father.

 Sierra could hear her wolf cry and heard Damon and Bane talking to her.

"Father what if he wasn't rogue. What if you let him join our pack? Are you willing to lose your daughter over one choice? I'm either happily mated here or I mate and be a rogue. I will not settle for someone else. If I have to stay here without him I will leave." Sierra said to her father.

Alpha Ryan gets up quickly and smacks Sierra to the ground.

"You will not leave because you will be Luna. And you will not bring a rogue into the pack. You will not become a rogue either. If I have to I will get them to tame and r**e you and your wolf until you choose to do what your meant to." Said Alpha Ryan so aggressively.

Damon could hear as his wolf is telling him what Alexine repeats is being told. He starts to get angry. Damon runs to the edge of the clearing waiting back a few trees away and can see Sierra stand up. "Father I will not marry a pack member. And if you try to make them tame me I will kill myself and you will still have no Luna!" Sierra said aggressively.

Alpha Ryan grabs Sierra’s hair and Sierra notices Damon in the woods watching. He slams her face into his desk three times to the point where there is a lot of blood and then gets some lower members to grab Sierra and take her to the pack doctors in chains.

"Tell him to not visit. Father knows he visits me there. It is dangerous." Sierra said to Alexine her wolf.

She howls to Bane and Damon. Damon starts looking worried. Sierra gets to the doctors and they stop the bleeding. Sierra received three stitches above her eye then the doctor proceeds and gave her an x-ray.

“You fractured your nose. You need to rest for a few days then you can leave.” Said the main pack doctor.

Sierra cried in her hospital bed thinking of what her father said. And she realised that she doesn't want to be his daughter anymore. Chains still around her, but she realised they forgot to chain her to the bed. Walking in chains Sierra start walking to a nearby cliff, it's only 55 minutes away by foot. Alexine keeps arguing with Sierra and calling to Bane for help. Sierra nearly reach it when she could hear thumping footsteps then she recognised the scent. Sierra did not want to make him suffer as well. Sierra had to try to run over the edge and just as she had almost fully gone over the edge, strong warm arms caught her and pulled her aside, after biting her shirt until he could reach Sierra. He lifts Sierra up and Sierra could see the frantic worry in his eyes his beautiful multi-coloured eyes. He had a shade of blue and green in each eye. Sierra could see it mixed with anger and heart break. He turns human and is completely naked in front of her so he could speak.

"You were going to leave me Sierra. Why would you do that?" Damon cried.

Sobbing as the tears fell.

"I wanted to leave because my father won't let me be with you, and he said I will get hurt if I try to. He will get the others to tame me by r****g me and that I cannot leave to be a rogue or have a rogue join the pack. I can't keep the promise to be your mate if it leads to pain and torture." Sierra cried to Damon.

"I can't keep the promise when all I want is for a hug or a kiss from you, and all you want is to be away from me. I don't see you coming up to ask to join. I don't see you coming into my room even though I leave my windows open for you. I crave your touch but to you I am nothing." Sierra cried.

Sorrow evident in her voice. Tears falling down, defeat was shown. Damon saw her emotions, he saw why she had decided to give up on life.

Sierra can see him getting emotional before he responds.

"You think I don’t crave you? That I don’t want to lay next to you? I want to be your mate and I would want nothing more than to see you every morning in my arms. By human law your underage. By wolf law you can't be with me. I want you Sierra more than you know. I risk getting caught every day to just be able to get a glimpse of you. I know you tease me by dancing in your underwear near the window. Even Alexine told us that. But I am trying to keep my word. I gave you until you were 18. We've waited 6 years. Only 2 more to go." Said Damon.

Damon was crying and leaning away from Sierra.

"Prove you want me Damon. Hug me or hold me, just do something." Sierra cried with a strained dry throat from the tears.

Damon gets closer until he is behind Sierra and sits behind her. With a leg on each side and throws his arms around her.

"I love you Sierra. I try so hard to not show it because I want you safe until you come of age. But I do. And I want you to promise me you won't try to jump off a cliff again. Or do anything to deliberately harm yourself." Said Damon.

Sierra looked up at his wet eyes and watched another tear fall.

"I promise" Sierra said gently and he held her.

He stayed there for what felt like hours but they ended up falling asleep in each other's arms feeling so calm.
