Ariana Floyd's Point of View

Loud clangs wake me up from my sleep. Immediately, my head starts to pound.
This must be the white russian I had last night. I regret drinking a s**t ton of alcohol but who can I blame? I needed something to distract me from the pain inflicted on my back.
"I see you're awake Ms.Ariana." Mr.Cohen says as he enters my room, aspirin and a glass of water in his hands.
I quickly take it off his hands and drink it right away. "Who's making such noise this early in the morning? Is father home?" I ask as I rub my eyes.
"Your father is not home, however, he did tell me to inform you that you must get to training right away. As for the noise, your sister, Chloe has a visitor downstairs. They are baking something and I'm afraid that your sister might burn the house down. So if I may be excused." Mr.Cohen says as he quickly leaves my room.
A visitor? Chloe barely has any friends. She's the shy type -- she rather lock herself in her room and read all day. Oh, how I would kill to get spend one day like that.
My sister and I are very different. She's my father's favorite and I'm my mother's. But my mother died 10 years ago, so that left me alone. I was never close to Chloe, even if I was younger by a year, I always felt as if I was older.
My father was tougher on me. He didn't take my mother's death well. And since I resemble her in many ways, it was hard for him to look at me.
My father being a very powerful and busy man, he was never at home. He always had this anxiety that someone might come to our home and kill Chloe. Which brings us to training. My father made me learn how to fight, how to shoot a gun, literally everything an assassin needs to learn how to do. I started when I was 7 years old. I'm 17 now.
10 years of endless nights of training and torture, my father appointed me to be his personal assassin. Funny isn't it? He made his daughter a killer. He made me into this to protect Chloe.
But Chloe's clueless. I was told that Chloe wasn't allowed to know that I was an assassin.
I sigh, thinking about the hours I had to spend in the headquarters training. Then after my personal training, I had to train the newcomers as well.
I quickly take a shower and put on sweatpants and a sports bra. I take my bag from my desk and make my way downstairs.
"Why did it turn out like this? I'm sorry it's totally burnt!" I hear Chloe say as I reached the kitchen.
A man, who I must admit is very attractive, laughs. "It isn't that bad. Come, let me try." his deep voice says, grabbing a burnt cookie from the tray.
I watch him take a bite of that very miserable looking cookie. He pretends to like it.
I scoffed.
"Oh, Ariana. You're here." Chloe says, her face falling due to my presence. Like I said awhile ago, we don't get along at all.
"Yeah. I'm gonna leave so you don't have to worry about me ruining -" I say as I look back n forth between them. "your date?" I finish with a smile.
Chloe rolls her eyes. "Don't you have anything better to do? Like I don't know, be dad's dog?" she sneers.
My eyes widen at her comment. Quickly composing myself, I smirk and turn away.
What a brat. She has no idea about the things I had and have to go through to save her spoiled ass.
I get in my car and drive to the headquarters.

Tristan Lombardi's Point Of View
"Have you ever made cookies before?" Chloe asks me with innocent eyes. I let out a chuckle as I shake my head.
"Well, today's your lucky day! I make cookies for a living." She states. She gathers all the ingredients and mixing bowls to the counter.
Adorable. She was so adorable. It felt so strange to be so near her, it was as if I was meant to be near her.
But if this felt so right, why has my wolf not awaken?
Chloe starts mixing the ingredients together. I didn't do much. I just sat there and watched her bake the cookies. It was so fascinating seeing her struggle in trying to fold in the chocolate chips. I laugh and quickly stood up.
"Here, at least let me help with this." I say, grabbing the spoon from her delicate hands. She looks up at me and grins.
I fold in the chocolate chip in the cookie batter easily. Once I was done, Chloe quickly put them in the baking tray and put it in the oven.
"So, Tristan, I have to be honest. I really really like you. I know we've only hung out a few times but it seems like I really like you." Chloe admits as she takes a seat next to me.
I smile. "I like you too, Chloe." I say as I lean in and kiss her. Her lips were so soft and she felt so delicate in my arms. It was as if she was gonna break if I held her too tight. I grab her waist and place her on my lap.
I really liked Chloe. I felt a connection with her. But I couldn't help but think, why was my wolf so quiet around her? Maybe we aren't deep enough for my wolf to realize that Chloe could be my mate.
I shrug my thoughts away and start focusing on Chloe. We could've gone farther if it weren't for the burnt smell coming from the oven. "Hmm, I would love to continue this babe, but I don't want to die today," I say and point towards the burnt cookies once I pulled away.
Her eyes widened and she cursed as she turned off the oven and took the cookies out.
"Shít shít shít" she mumbled under her breath. I chuckle as I say "It isn't that bad. Come, let me try." I grab a cookie from the pan and take a bite.
It tastes horrible but I couldn't say that to Chloe since she was looking at me with those eyes. I force myself to swallow the cookie and nod my head.
I hear a scoff from the kitchen door.
"Oh, Ariana. You're here." Chloe says, her face falling due to her presence.
"Yeah. I'm gonna leave so you don't have to worry about me ruining -" Ariana says as she looks back n forth between Chloe and I "your date?" she finishes with a smile.
Chloe rolls her eyes. "Don't you have anything better to do? Like I don't know, be dad's dog?" she sneers.
I raised an eyebrow. Is this Chloe's sister? The one she told me about the other night? Chloe told me how their mother died when they were 7. And it was Ariana's fault. Chloe didn't get into much detail but I saw how hurt she was.
Ariana scoffs before she looks at me. Her blue eyes piercing mine.
A burning sensation rushes through me. My wolf is awake. He tries to fight me, making me want to turn right here.
Mine my wolf claims.
Ariana is my mate.
