Aria’s POV I watched in horror as the healers announced Cole’s death. My breath caught in my throat, and my body felt like it was sinking into the floor. It had all been in vain. We were too late. We couldn’t save him. A sense of numbness settled within me as I stared at the lifeless body on the bed. His skin was so pale, and his tiny chest was motionless.
