After Shawn and Lisa left, I plopped down on the bed as I processed everything I now knew about Cornelius.
My mind flashed back to the discussion I just had with Shawn and Lisa.

We had been talking about the previous night, and we were chatting and joking, when a thought occurred to me.
“Hey, Shawn. Who is Cornelius Langley?” I blurted out, furrowing my eyebrows curiously at them.
Instantly, the smiles on their faces faded. It was so abrupt that I immediately knew that something was wrong.
