My heart pounded in my chest as I lunged forward. “Knox!” I yelled.
Instantly, he froze. Then he turned to me slowly. I resisted the urge to gasp at the murderous look on his face.
“Please don't,” I pleaded.
His crimson eyes were glowing unlike anything I had ever seen. Those claws on his hands were probably from his wolf, but I had never heard of anyone being able to transform their hands into claws while still in human form.
Everything about Knox was like a mystery, like some dark mystery that I was scared of unraveling.
