THIRD PERSON'S POV
The hospital room is quieter now.
The twins sleep in a crib beside the window, sunlight spilling gently across their small faces. One of them stirs, making a soft noise, but settles again as a gentle hand smooths his blanket.
Bennis hums quietly, rocking back and forth in a chair. She looks tired but calm. Her eyes, though, never leave the babies. She watches them like they’re hers.
She’s been here for hours—feeding them, burping them, holding them close.
Eren stands in the doorway, watching her. His eyes are red. Puffy. Tired. But still searching for answers.
“She’s good with them,” Lora had said earlier. “Maybe she’s what you need now.”
And maybe she is.
He walks into the room slowly, and Bennis looks up. Her smile is soft and warm.
