Hailey’s POV
My eyes grew wide and I jumped back. My head snapped from the door back to Tyler, panicking. His eyes seemed to briefly flash gold as he gave me a mischievous grin.
“You don’t want him to see you in here, do you?” he said quietly, seeming to sense my panic.
“No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “Please…”
He gave me a small nod. “I got you,” he said quietly. Then, more loudly, called out, “Hang on Derek, I’m a little tied up at the moment.” He turned back to me and gave me another smirk, a sight I was really getting annoyed with.
