JULIAN’S POV The scent of Lilian’s perfume lingered as I stood in front of my office door. It was a mixture of jasmine and berries, one of Lilian’s signature scents. The scent should have grounded me and reminded me of why she had been here, but it didn't because this time, her presence hadn't helped to calm the storm like it usually did. Still, I tried to act like I had everything under control. But then my gaze landed on Mason. And every illusion of control went straight to hell.
