“I’m sorry man but you know how business goes, we win some and we lose some.”
“Noo Tyler!!” I screamed, as I grabbed a fistful of my hair and tugged. “This shouldn't be the one we lose. This was our last big shot to make it and you knew it!”
“The deal didn’t pull through, Liam. Williams said the investor backed out at the last minute,"there's nothing I could do.” came his defeated response.
The phone slipped from my hand before I even realized I’d dropped it.
“This can’t be happening,” I muttered, pacing across the living room like a madman. The rug under my feet suddenly felt too soft, the air too tight.
“I’ll call you back man.” Tyler’s voice floated into my ear from the phone.
