Karl is busy fist-bumping with his pals as we make our way to the table. Karl being so busy causes me to gradually pull away from him because I don't want him to feel like I'm a burden. As an alternative, I try to look around for familiar faces that I can hang out with. I can't seem to find any, and most of them are already occupied or passed out. With Hanry already on the ground, drunk as hell, and Stacy is nowhere to be found. I also hope I won't see her for the rest of the night. I just don't like her when she’s drunk. As I was standing all alone at the corner of the crowded party, someone named Chloe handed me a red cup that contained beer mixed with red wine in it. I refused at first but she insisted. I don't want to be that kind of person who came to a party and doesn't drink, so I decide to take a sip of it then sit the cup on the counter and continue to walk through the crowd. Karl just comes out nowhere, pull me out of the crowd and lead me to meet with his friends outside. "This is Alex, my new roommate. He just got here yesterday, so I figured I would show him a good time for his first weekend at S.L.U." He tells them, which I doubt they even care to listen to what Karl told them at all with all that can of beer sitting beside them. But surprisingly, they all listen. One by one, they nod or smile at me. They are all so friendly, except Harry, of course. A handsome rich boy with olive-toned skin reaches out his hand and shakes mine. His hands are a little cold from the red cup that he holds, but his smile is even colder. Why, all of a sudden, does Harry give all of his attention to me? What does he want from me? I thought he didn't like me. "I'm Harry. I figured you already knew who I am. We met before yesterday, Alex," he says with an annoying smirk of his. I also noticed his other two minions eyeing my outfit and laughing at it. "Yeah, Hi, Harry---nice to see you again? What are you doing here?" I ask. Which I came to realize soonn after that it is a stupidest question to ask in the kind of environment I am in at the moment. Even Karl hooks his head after hearing my dumb question. "Partying like everybody else---and wait did your mom know you are here, from what I know, you not allowed to be here, party, mama boy?" He laughs and his minion too, and then the rest of the group starts to laugh too, but except Stacy, who just sits there silently like a scared little kid---why won't she help me? I'm also one of her friends for crying out loud. "Aren't you all?" I fire back, try to hold my ground, and not get embarrassed by all these unworthy rich kids. "No, we aren't. We are adults. We don't live with our parents in the attic like you do, mama boy." He laughed again---God I really hated this douchebag, and I want to cry right now but try to hold back because I don't want to get embarrassed even more. "THAT IS ENOUGH, HARRY---AND GET OUT, THIS PARTY IS OVER FOR YOU." Said my unexpected recused team, Stacy and Karl, why won't they intervene sooner? "WHAT--- Are you two out of your goddamn mind-- you kicked me out because of this poor pathetic little boy---this absurd," He says. I can clearly see fury in both of his eyes miles away. Wait, right? I am now Harry enemy number one, thank you so much, lovebird, for making this nightmare happen, and from now on, my university life is gonna be a disaster with Nathan as my foe. "Go now, or Ryan will drag you ass out himself." Said Stacy. I had never seen Stacy act this serious before. "Okay---now the party crasher is gone, let's continue our fun, so Alex, what are you studying?" One of Karl’s friend's name Olivia asks me. I noticed that her eyes also aim straight at my pants, she smiles a little but doesn't say anything. "I am an English major." I smile proudly. "English major, huh, now I am undecided." Olivia laughs and I returned one. Undecided? What does she really mean? How can she be undecided when she is already in university? "Do you want another drink beer, or whiskey?" Olivia asks. "Oh no thanks, I don't drink," I tell her and she tries to hide her smile. "Karl, you really need to tell your new roommate here, our party rules," A tiny girl with red hair says under her breath. "I am going to get some air," I say and turn to walk away from this disastrous place. "You need some company, Alexander?" Kristine offers, which is a shock to everyone there, and to me too. And since when does she get here, and where is Tiana? I shake my head as I make my way out. I should trust my instinct and shouldn't have agreed to come to this so-called meet-up. I could have been in my pajamas curled up in bed, listening to music while scrolling down t****k instead.
