Chapter 7London, October 15, 1883 Track One Maxwell leaned back from the chessboard, physically tired as he might have been from exiting the boxing ring, but more exhilarated than he would have supposed it possible to be upon losing a chess game. Not only was he visiting Camelot, he was playing chess with King Arthur. On the other side of the board, Lord Seward contemplated the arrangement of the pieces with approval.
