Nora’s POV A forced smile crept on my face as my eyes bore into Kai’s own. The staring contest took on for a while until I decided that it was over and I waved my hands in front of her. My stomach made a scowl noise and I cursed myself, for not eating food but my mood lit up when I found the apple tree, fresh and green. From all indications, it hasn’t even been touched for a while or even when it has started sprouting so I made my way to it, plugging one from it. After I was done plugging it, I walked back inside the pack house, hating the fact that I couldn’t go over that hidden door, despite the wrong scent coming from there, which could lead me to who I came here for.
