NORA I sat in my dimly lit living room, the weight of recent events heavy on my mind. It had been two weeks since I had taken Mark’s life. The town was still buzzing with his death, murmurs of shock and speculation echoing through the streets. But I couldn’t bring myself to care about any of that.
