Liv leaps to her feet, narrowing her eyes, taken aback by Jess’s reaction. "What are you talking about?" she exclaims, her eyes locking onto Jess, who repeats that she lost everything over a lie.
Something twists in Liv’s stomach at that. "It sounds like you are blaming me right now, again,” she says, the room tightening with tension as they lock eyes, Jess’s red and blazing as if she had just been waiting for a chance to go off at Liv.
She doesn’t reply to Liv's accusation, and instead, she presses on, her tone edged with frustration as she tells Liv that she has every right to be upset as this whole mess ended up costing her everything.
