I walk into the cozy restaurant, and it doesn't take me long to spot Chase sitting at a corner table. A smile forms on my lips as I approach him, and as I draw closer, he notices me.
His eyes light up, and he stands up, pushing his chair back, and we exchange a hug. Then he pulls my chair out for me. The waiter approaches, ready to take our orders as we settle down, and I order an ice tea while Chase orders some wine.
As the waiter walks away, I thank Chase for the flowers he sent me this morning, and he says, "You're welcome," while I try to suppress my nerves. I know he’s not ready for a relationship, and I’m expecting too much from him right now, but I don’t want him to push me away.
