........... Laurel ........... My heart is pounding in my chest, and I can feel the tension in the air as we return for the results. I wasn’t even able to eat a bite of my lunch; my stomach was still in knots. My mind has been racing non-stop, and I found myself even working out in my head how I would announce the pregnancy to Tyson if he’s the father. Clutching my mother’s hand, we approach the reception desk, and she gives me a reassuring smile, telling me everything will be okay. I’m grateful for her presence. She has a busy schedule and I know that, but I can’t even imagine how much more overwhelmed I’d be without her here.
