“Cameron?” Jared called. Dread rose up in Cam’s belly and his thoughts began praying... Please Pa, not now... please. “Yeah?” he called back. “C’meer, boy.” Cam tracked his father’s voice to the kitchen in the rear of the house and oddly enough found him sitting at the table, showered, shaven and eating. “Yeah, Pa?” “Ya did a good job cleanin’ in here, son.
