Ethan's POV
I stood, staring at Hannah who was demanding for an explanation. I had to think fast.
"Who is Sarah? "She asked.
"She's my business partner " I lied. Tiago looked up at me.
"We had some deals in the past" I added. Her eyes scanned me, trying to discern if what I was saying was true.
"What deals? "She asked further.
"Business deals" I said calmly so as not to arouse suspicion. Hannah was a smart woman and could not be fooled easily. So I decided to change the topic.
"You made muffins, sweetheart " I said picking up two muffins from the tray, handing one over to Tiago who stared at me in confusion. She stared at both of us, I was smiling awkwardly while Tiago was his usual unfriendly self. Her face then moved from suspicion to remorse as she looked down on the floor
