The Unexpected Fork in the Road

Chapter 5

The music gets quiet for a few minutes as they change to a different song. I the time to tell Shawn that we should head back to our rooms. I look over to where Mr Blue eyes. He was no longer standing there. We head back around the bar and bump into a few people as it is crowded at the bar with people getting drinks and refills. When I bumped into someone, I instantly looked up and there was Mr Blue eyes. Making me break out into goosebumps across my arms and shoulders. I quickly say "sorry" and then running away to catch up to Shawn.

Shawn asked me. What was that about? I told him nothing. Someone just bumped into me. He says "Oh OK!." We get back to our rooms. Just as I was about to step inside, Shawn says "Hey, Maddi". I answered back with a "Yeah". Shawn says "Have a good night, If you ever need someone to talk too, I'm here for you." I said "Okay, Thanks." I walked into the room and gently close the door behind me. I leaned against the door for a minute. Take a deep breath and let it out. I turned around and walked the rest of the way into the room to see. Alina and Sam laying on the bed together. They have fallen asleep playing or watching something on their tablets. They look so cute. I took out my phone and took a picture of them.

I knocked on the conjoined door, heard a yell of "Come in" I opened it and walked in. "Hey Dad, I just wanted to let you know Sam is asleep beside Alina". Oh ok, Dad replied. "Do you want me to walk him up or just leave him? I have no issues with him staying." I asked him. Dad said "Let him sleep there." I replied "You know Sam, will probably, wander back in the middle of the night. I will leave the conjoined door open quite a bit, so he can come back here if he wants you." Dad says, "Sounds good." "Have a good night Dad, I am going to bed." I walk back over to my room. I see my Mom on the patio by herself. I went over to chat with her. "Mom, you are going to have to share your bed tonight. Sam and Alina had fallen asleep together. I don't want to wake them," I tell her. She replies, "I figured as much, when I saw them a little while ago. " "They look so peaceful when they sleep." I say to my mom. "That they do." She answers back.

I headed back into the room to get ready for bed. I am so tired. It feels like it has been a very long day with traveling and dealing with airports. Being in a new place. Hopefully, I can fall asleep fast. Once I have finished getting ready for bed, I climb onto my side of the bed for the night. As I get into a comfortable position and close my eyes. Those beautiful blue eyes come into my mine. I toss and turn most of the night. As that man's eyes keeps coming into my mind. I finally fell asleep at 3am last time I looked at the clock. I knew I was going to be extremely tired in the morning. I slept until as long as I could before we went down for breakfast.

Breakfast was the same setup as last night's dinner, just with breakfast food. I heard lunch is the same just with lunch food. We all get what we like for breakfast. We sit with each other and chat with one another. Since we don't always get to eat together like this, unless it's a birthday or holiday. After we finished eating, we all decided we were going to spend the day by the pool. We went back to our rooms to change into our swimsuits. Mine is a tankini. Which the top is a halter top or a tank top style top for the swimsuit. The bottoms are shorts or a skort. A skort is a pair of shorts with a skirt on top. I helped Alina fix her straps on her swimsuit. They got twisted when she put them on. By the time we all finished getting ready for a day by the pool. The pool was open. It opens at 10am and closes at 5pm every day. Unless there is something wrong with the pool or there is a bad storm. We bring our reusable travel cups to the bar for the bartender to fill our drinks. I ordered a strawberry daquri. Alina also wanted what I was drinking without alcohol, of course. I gave her a dollar to tip the bartender. I also gave my dollar to the bartender for my drink. It's a small gesture to say thank you for your service. A dollar isn't a lot. From what I have seen. From last night, it is that most workers work hard. They will remember you and give you good service. To keep you coming back time after time.
