EPISODE 9

The palace Servants were busy preparing Prince's Alex chambers, Aurora was step by step walking him towards the guest chambers, as they were at it they saw Lucas standing along the corridor armored in deep silver.

" You highness " Lucas said to Aurora first.

" My prince.... am assigned to escort you both " He said calmly.

" Well lead as protector " Alex said looking at Lucas.

The three left with Lucas walking behind them, as they were walking Alex hand boldly

went to Aurora's back, she stiffened and was surprised but before she could not speak ,Alex leaned closer ,his lips brushing near her ear.

" You are more beautiful than how people describe you " He murmured,, Aurora offered a polite smile and then she stepped away. Lucas was standing behind him calm and pretended not to notice anything.

They continued down the corridor, passing Servants who froze or bowed,

Alex guarded Aurora once again with his hand but then lucas walked and placed himself on the other side something that shocked Alex who instantly removed his hand on Aurora.

"Still guarding??" He asked looking at Alex

"It is my duty....my Prince " Lucas answered

"Only duty??" Aurora felt the weight of their standoff and looked ahead,as they passed the gallery wall ,Alex leaned again allowing his shoulder brush Aurora's,,she was tensed but remained calm, Lucas noticed and immediately stepped between them forcing Alex back a pace,,Alex stopped walking

" So forward...this is how your guards behave?" He asked looking at Aurora who was now standing.

" For now she belongs to no one...you will keep your distance until she marries you" Lucas answered before Aurora could say a word ,Aurora was surprised because Lucas's tone held emotion than law.

" A guard with feelings!!! Tell me Lucas is it difficult for you to see another claim her??"

Lucas said nothing but his knuckles had gone white, Aurora stepped forward before anything could go further.

"Both of enough....." Her voice had authority

and Lucas bowed his head immediately, Alex only smiled. Finally they arrived at Alex's chambers, two sentries opened the grand door for Alex , he turned to Aurora taking her hand too gently

" l hope to speak with you again after l settle in...maybe privately" He lifted her hand and wanted to kiss it but Lucas stepped forward and calmly placed his own hand between them blocking the gesture, Alex raised his eyebrows angrily and Aurora withdrew her hand,,Alex entered his room and the door closed behind him. Aurora exhaled and turned to Lucas but he refused to meet her eyes

"Lucas....what was all that about?" She asked, he stepped back

"Am sorry my princess ....l overstepped " He said trembling not with fear but with something far more dangerous. He bowed again and left before Aurora could see his jealous face.

The palace slept under a silent moon, its white towers glowing like ghosts ,Aurora walked through the corridor ,mind still tangled from Alex and Lucas tension. She stopped at Lucas's new chambers, lifting her hand to knock but before she could touch the door ,it opened just slightly and a figure slipped out, it was Aria, her hair was loose around her shoulders, her dress wrinkled ,she had her shoes in one hand trying to move quitely,,Aurora froze ,Aria also startled almost dropping her shoes, for a moment they looked at each other, then Lucas appeared in the doorway behind Aria

with his shirt slightly undone,,his face changed instantly when he saw Aurora

"Princess Aurora " He called worriedly

Aurora said nothing,,she looked at them and walked away quickly.

"Princess wait..." Lucas called,, she did not look back ,,footsteps behind her ,,Lucas hurriedly walking to her,but then she broke into run her gown sweeping the floor,her heart felt unbearable heavy, far heavier than she expected, she slipped into her brother's chambers,,,she wanted to talk to him so that she can feel better ...cry on his shoulders but another shock awaited her...She saw her crippled brother sitting on his wheelchair, beside him Grace but they weren't simply talking but kissing passionately,, at Aurora's gasp they broke apart ,,Grace jumped up falling on her knees

"My princess am sorry...please forgive me" she begged ,Harlot grabbed her trembling hand firmly ,lifting his head.

"Sister....l love her" He said calmly ,,,Aurora stared at them her heart pounding ,,she had now received two shock just in one night..she saw how her brother was happy , he was not ashamed or afraid of loving Grace,,she was touched with how they looked at each other with so much love and hope,,she remembered the moments she had shared with Grace in laughter in sadness Grace as always been with her,,she moved closer to her,,held her hands .

"We are more than sisters Grace ...you should have told me" Grace's eyes watered as she hugged Aurora and laughed softly.

"Just promise me....you will take care of him" Aurora added

"I will take care of him with my life...l promise my princess " She said sobbing silently, she then embraced them and left the room for them.

Elsewhere in Alex's room ,,he sat on his luxurious bed waiting for something and just then three figures appeared,,their faces hidden ,,the air chilled,one of them bowing low ,, "My prince ...the next phase begins" Alex lips curled in a satisfied smile.

"Good...the kingdom will fall before they ever suspect but remember no one touches my bride....she is mine" He warned.
