Welcome to The Blood moon pack
It was a ten hours drive to the Blood moon pack, it was closer than I expected. Seamus was elated and I was happy he has started opening up, and it was just beginning.
Freda was resting, I stopped over at a roadside motel because of her. We would continue the other half hours tomorrow. I don’t think it was healthy for her to be in a car for more than two hours and it’s been five hours.
I was surprised she didn’t cry much, she was asleep for most of the ride. I smiled and cooed at her as she sucked on the bottled milk. I felt lighter than usual, maybe because Seamus was more relaxed but that was partly a lie. In all honesty, I was also happy going back. It has been a lonely six years of my life without a pack but Rachel made it bearable and the heartbreak from Lucy’s rejection wasn’t there anymore, if at all I have forgiven Lucy. After I met Rachel it was easier to forgive her and also forget her.
How would she look like? She would’ve had lots of pups by now. Would Alpha Kane still be the Alpha? I doubt it. My face scrunch as I remembered the evil man.
I pray for my daughter and I, that he wasn’t the Alpha of the pack anymore because there might be a fifty percent chance he might likely not accept us back into the pack.
I remember Alpha Alexander, he was more kinder than his father, he was one of the few people that showed me sympathy. He freed me from border duties for a week after the rejection by his sister and for that I was grateful, even when his father insisted I keep on working; he kept his words.
The next day wasn’t as easy, Freda kept on crying I had to make about six stops to feed her. After hours we finally made it to a large wide gated entrance. My brows furrow as I tried recalling if there was ever a gate, or had I missed a turn. There were two guards by the gate, who approached my vehicle. I instantly recognized one of them, who was a past friend of mine. Levi looked like he had swapped body with a beast, he looked so huge. It must be all the training, I envied him as he approached. I looked more lean but I was still very fit. Rachel loved my abs so I was determined to keep them but the past weeks and the unhealthy amount of beer I had consumed has put a little pouch on my stomach.
I rolled my car window down as they stopped to interact with me.
The other guy I didn’t recognize was first to talk.
“Who are you? And why are you here?” I’m sure they could smell I was a wolf but I had different human scents attached to my body from sleeping in the motel room.
I raised my voice to answer but Levi beat me to it. “Liam?” He asked with surprise evident in his voice.
I smiled, Seamus was happy that we haven’t been forgotten.
“Levi.” I said back at him with a chuckle.
“What the f**k are you doing here bro?” His demeanor relaxed as he chatted with me.
The other guy face was marred with confusion.
“Well–
I was cut of by my sound of my sweet daughter crying from the back seat.
I smiled as I stretched to pick her from her car seat. Levi eyebrows furrow with surprise.
“You’ve got a pup?” He asked.
“Yeah.” I answered shortly not wanting to go in details.
“I’ll have to inform Alpha Xander before we can let you through.” He said as his eyes gloss over probably mind linking him already.
The other guy had already walked towards the gates, seen that I was of no threat to them.
I smiled at my daughter, cooing at her as she dozed off again. I can’t believe we made it.
Seamus almost howled in happiness which I knew we haven’t felt since Rachel left.
‘We made it, darling.’ I looked up to the sky as I spoke to my lover.
It took a while before the gates opened and I carefully put Freda back into her car seat.
I drove past the gates and for about ten minutes all I could see was trees before some buildings started coming in sight. I could barely recognize this place.
Some buildings were old and others were relatively new. Levi had given me directions; He said I should drive to the center, where the pack house was along with the Alpha’s office. The once little pack was no longer so little, it was like it tripled in size. They were people on the streets, the younger kids playing, the older ones walking about in groups and the adults probably working.
I drove past a very wide field we’re I could see training going on. It was divided into three groups, some in combat training; hand to hand, some just doing exercises like running and others combating in their wolf form.
Seamus jumped around proudly, he was proud his pack has grown. He was ready to be among them, a sense of belonging filled my heart as we finally reached the large building that stood at the very center of the road splitting it into two separate ways. I parked my car and two other men approached my car probably to take me to Alpha Alexander or Xander (as they called him now).
I gave them a polite smile as I picked up my daughter from the back seat and followed quietly behind them.
I smiled as I walked through the pack house, there were lots of pups running about and the place smelled so damn good like pancakes and fruits. I could hear laughters from every corner of the house. I walked with a skip in my step, I definitely made the right decision by coming back. I could already see my little angel running along side other pups her age.
They lived such a happy life and I wanted that for my princess.
We walked to the third floor of the house where the hallway spread into four identical corridors, we walked towards one of corridors. This place was so huge I could definitely see myself getting lost, every corridor looked the same.
We finally arrived at a huge oak door at the end of the corridor and one of the men knocked before opening the door.
They step aside so I could walk through indicating that this was were they left me. The door shut behind me, and I was immediately greeted with a deep loud voice coming from behind the large mahogany desk.
“William Canon is it?”
Shivers ran down my spine as I looked into the now scarred face of Alpha Xander. What happened to him? Terror filled me as the room suddenly felt so suffocating.
I nodded my head before vocally expressing my self. “Yes, Alpha Xander. I’m Liam Canon.”
He no longer looked like the Alpha Alexander I know, apart from his scarred face, his aura was no longer the warm and calm one I was used to. It was intimidating and dark.
“What brought you back here?” He went straight to the point.
“I have a daughter— my wife just passed on. I don’t think I’ll be able to raise her without having a female figure or a pack she can look up to, so I came back.” I told truthfully not going into too much details. My voice shook with emotion and I became slightly irritated by it, showing weakness in front of someone like him wasn’t the way I wanted to start my new life.
He gave a nod of approval and his intimidating aura calmed down a bit making it easier for me to breathe.
He released an intentional long sigh before he gave a welcoming smile and said:
“Welcome to The Blood moon pack!”
