Silas POV
I watch Leah pace back and forth in the waiting room of the council’s main chambers. She’s going to wear a hole through the f*****g floor if she doesn’t stop soon. I glance over at Gabe and Logan. She’s my mate and I love her more than life itself, but the truth is they’ve known Leah longer than I have, and may have a better idea what to do to prevent a full blown melt down.
But the fuckers are no help whatsoever. Gabe just shrugs at me, like he doesn’t know what to do either, and Logan is purposefully ignoring the whole thing, his head buried in his phone.
Sighing, I stand up and gently touch Leah’s arm, causing her to turn and look at me, though she definitely doesn’t look happy.
