Sienna’s pacing in my head is driving me nuts and making it hard to think as we race back to my pack. I can’t believe we were attacked again. I can’t believe I wasn’t there when it happened. I’m trying not to let the guilt of not being there for my pack overwhelm me. I have to stay calm and think.
After getting over the initial shock of Gabe’s call, I immediately jumped into action. I wanted to just shift and run the whole way home, but Silas insisted we drive halfway. “You’ll wear both you and Sienna out if you run the whole way, and will be too tired to deal with anything when you get back home. Let me drive you halfway, and then both of us will shift and run the rest. Liam will come with us and pick up the car.”
