The text from Micah comes at the same time the citrus scent of my mate hits me and lets me know he’s close. I glance at the text as I walk out onto the front porch to meet Silas and Agent Simpson.

Well, the timing’s perfect. There’s no doubt the FBI agent and Silas will like to speak with our mysterious panther guest, and it helps that she wants to speak to us too. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this.
