THE CROSSING OF THE VOYAGER PERSEO V-22   The tiny burning stones plummeted against the ship, slightly damaging its force field, the Perseus V-22 carried only six people on board. The Earth Unionist Confederation, an organization whose philosophy was to reunite as many humans as possible and establish them on a planet rich in biodiversity, similar to the former planet Earth. The Perseus V-22 spacecraft was not man-made, but extraterrestrial, which is why it was considered by its members as one of the most advanced artifacts in humanity. Captain Rogelius Arenis embarked on a mission commissioned by his superiors. A robotic race had kidn*pped large numbers of people to do experiments with them, this race was known as the Xi-bots, Xi, because they were rumored to have been created inside a fortress named Xi, until they rebelled against their creators and exterminated them, that already, millennia ago. "Gentlemen, we will head today in the direction of one of the bases of the Xi-bots, the Unionist Confederation gave me the coordinates so we will embark right now, their lives are pressing." All present agreed and proceeded to carry out the mission. "Shouldn't we expect reinforcements?" Asked a cadet. "It would be ideal, but they are killing four or five people an hour, we must go as soon as possible, they will join us later." Rogelius replied. "Sir, may I ask if you know what those towers were that we left behind a few moments ago?" "Actually, I don't know, Cadet Mirim."   The command board drew up the coordinates, everyone got to their positions, the turbines gave off a powerful flare and started at high speed. After crossing hundreds and hundreds of kilometers, they collided with an invisible wall, they tried to advance, but they could not. "It's a barrier, Captain," one of the operatives pointed out. "It seems there are many more, ahead." "Prepare the guns." Ordered the captain. The hatch on the roof part opened, an elongated cannon came out of it and when it aimed at the invisible barrier, it fired three balls of plasma, which on impact broke apart like pieces of glass. They continued on their journey and soon ran into another invisible barrier, so they proceeded with the same maneuver. Thus they continued, destroying every invisible barrier they encountered until in front of Voyager Perseus emerged from a hole, a gigantic metallic sphere, at its sides carried two strange dragon heads that lengthened and contracted, the neck of robotic faces it was made up of small spheres that joined and separated. The dragon's mouth rushed like a spear, the bite echoing in the void. Voyager Perseo's lower hatches opened and fired, first at the head then at the body. The head launched a second lunge and captured the ship with its jaws. "Activate the force field, now!" The lights went on and off, the control panels sparked. Some workers took fire extinguishers and mitigated the flames from one of the boards. "Release the electromagnetic disruptors!" Rogelius ordered. TO BE CONTINUED.
