12 There is nothing but darkness, and yet he knew that he was there. Unable to see, unable to sense, unable to know. The unknowing is the worst part since many horrible things are bred from the darkness. Unidentifiable noises are heard in every direction as if something lurks just outside the field of vision. An overwhelming sense of dread is secreted from the void. Walking in one direction, the floor gives without warning. The wind can be felt from bellow now. At first faint, but as legs dangle with the ground nowhere in sight, the wind builds like an ocean and escape becomes impossible. There is a distant light at the end of the tunnel.
