It was a dreamless night for me, or more like a sleepless night. The very few times I managed to close my eyes from tiredness, no dreams came. My night consisted of me staring at the concrete ceiling, watching the lights from the outside come and go. The chatter and laughter of people walking by also reached inside my room, contributing to keeping me awake. Too much was going on in my mind. Thoughts zoomed in my head like supersonic trains, not letting me catch a glimpse of them. Anxiety ate me from the inside. Worry filled me like a flash flood. Panic spiked every once in a while, making my heart ram against my ribcage. When Ego's words resonated in my head, they calmed me down.
