Chapter Three NATHAN “Aren’t you supposed to be at the college yet?” Zeke leans close as he smiles. I look up, glad to see him, my heart filling. “I have to leave soon, just wanted to see you before I did.” Wanted to make sure he was okay, as I’ve been checking on him multiple times a day lately. I guess that the sight of your mate shutting down like he did last weekend doesn’t leave you soon. “Well, you did.” Zeke smiles a little easier now. “Yes, I did.” “I just need to put my stuff away. What time do you need to leave?” He checks the clock over the counter. “I’ve got half an hour, at least.” I don’t have to be at the college early anyway, and I don’t really want to be in my office right now. I still haven’t forgotten the horrible things that were being said at the bar two weeks
