This message had popped up on my phone from an anonymous person, and before I could barely finish reading it, another came in.
“Killing Cole won't hide the truth. Karma will come back at you when you least expect it! You have no idea what your foolish husband did to him and many others.”
I inhaled sharply, my mind flashing back to that horrifying moment of my life when I first took a man's life. Although Raphael had made sure I didn't face any charge since it was clearly self-defense, that doesn't clear my guilt. It doesn't change the fact that I killed someone.
