Chapter 9

2188 Words

It's been five minutes since Kathy, Nathan and my Mom have all been staring at my face, which is probably as red as a tomato by now. The thing is, the minute I saw Nathan at the door, in a grey t-shirt, dark jeans and a black blazer, I choked on my Cola and sprang into a coughing spree. And I've coughed so much that my face is red, my eyes are teary and my nose just spurred out some of the drink which landed straight into Kathy's dinner plate that is placed right across the table. If this was a competition, I would've won second prize at least. I cover my face with the napkin after I gulp down some water to calm myself down. "I uh-I I'll be back from the bathroom," I quickly jump out of my seat and run out into the circular lounge. Great. I don't even know where the darned bathroom is.
