“No, you don’t,” I spat back and then sighed because I knew she actually did. “Fine. Yes, I do. What’s our assignment?” I looked at Boone, who shook his head. “Nope, I gave you my word. No work talk for three days.” With that, he turned and walked out of the room with a swagger that made my blood boil. My rage didn’t last long, though, because I couldn’t believe I was going to get to do so many things I’d dreamed of for so long.
