Chapter Thirty-Three She heard talking vaguely, off and on. She heard Sean’s voice fade in and out and Zac’s urgent demands for her to open her eyes. He was there, always there. She didn’t know if she had spoken. She wanted to tell him it was okay, to stop worrying, but she also wanted to touch him. She was so tired. She kept fading in and out, and when she finally opened her eyes, her head was pounding with one of the worst headaches she’d ever had. Then she realized the white she was looking at was the ceiling, and it took a minute of looking around to understand she was in the hospital. She raised her hand and felt it pinch from the IV taped there. She hurt so bad. It hurt to move. She hissed and sucked in a breath, hearing a rustle. “Hey, you’re awake,” Zac said.
