Chapter Twenty-Seven Diane felt a little better after showering and dressing in a pair of cotton maternity pants and a very comfortable light shirt. The outfit matched her mood, gray and frumpy, and was at least baggy enough that it provided some comfort even though her back hadn’t stopped aching in weeks. “They’re long gone, so do you mind telling me what’s really going on with you?” she said.
