Lunar Eclipse

Chapter Four

(Alma’s POV)

I was practically vibrating with energy waiting for all of our family members to get in the conference room.

“Okay honey relax they will be here soon” Alex rubbed my shoulders calming me with just his touch. Alex and I had barely been apart since we marked and mated each other two months after my 18th birthday. Most wolves would complete the mating process the day they meet but Alex wanted to wait since I was freshly eighteen.

“I know but I am just too impatient” I whined looking into his eyes everyone said he had his father’s eyes but I could see hints of amber from his mother in the depths of them. I leaned into his chest and inhaled his woodsy smell, I could never pinpoint what specific tree he smelled like because to me he smelled like the whole forest. We stayed like that until the door opened and the Luna and Alpha walked in.

When Alex and I first found out we were mates they had asked me to call them ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ but I didn’t feel right about that, not yet, so we compromised on me dropping the formalities of Alpha and Luna and just call them Cajetan and Randve.

After Cajetan and Randve walked in Mom came in and bowed to them.

“Astrid how many times do I have to tell you, don’t bow, you are after all family now” she bear hugged my mom who readily hugged back. Randve and Mom had grown closer over the years, bonding over motherhood and us.

Annette, Freyja, Camilla, Asbjorn, Rose, Sage, and Derrick all filed into the conference room one by one. All of my family members bowed to Cajetan and Randve who admonished them for bowing then gave each on a hug, Asbjorn was the only one who didn’t bow, since he was the nephew of Cajetan and Randve he learned his lesson of bowing long ago. After everyone catching up, laughing, and hugging Alex cleared his throat and the room quieted.

“We have an announcement” he was smiling from ear to ear, and the room was vibrating with anticipation.

“Alma is pregnant!” Randve, Mom and Camilla jumped up and down squealing at the news, they crowed around Alex and I congratulating us. Cajetan put his hand on Alex’s shoulder smiling and nodding in approval his eyes shining with pride. Randve was babbling to Mom about being too young to be a grandmother, Mom said something in agreement.

“We are not done” Alex still smiling turned to me, I took a pause for dramatic effect.

“Its twins!” everyone was stunned for a moment before the excitement started again followed by lots of hugs and squealing. Alex and I always knew that when we decided to have children it was a high possibility that we would have twins since Alex himself was a twin.

“I remember having Alex and Rose, the doctors will tell you that carrying twins is no different than one pup but they are dead wrong. Going through birth once is bad enough but twice is a nightmare” she looked like she was about say something else but quickly shut her mouth after looking at Cajetan.

We had taken the time to decide to have a baby so I was fully prepared for the body changes and side effects that come with pregnancy but the pain of labor still scared me.

Alex sensing my fear had tightened his hold on me but I patted his hand in reassurance. I knew that when the labor came I would have a herd of people supporting me including Alex, he was the one I wanted there the most. In the recent years he really bonded with Annika and Hilda, I had known he wanted a family of his own but seeing him with my nieces made me want to have a family with him right then and there.

“We still have things from when Annika and Hilda were born if you want them?” Camilla offered turning towards Asbjorn, he didn’t talk much but he was smiling so I took that as he was happy for us.

“And I have things from when Jakob was born, you won’t have to buy a thing” Randve was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement it seemed like her hair gained more volume looking like a fiery halo the more she got excited.

“Foot rubs Son, they are a life saver, also don’t take the hormone filled rage to heart. Plus the pregnancy cravings get weird don’t question them just run out and get them” Cajetan winked at Alex, I could practically see him making mental notes. Through our bond I could feel the fear when Cajetan said ‘hormone filled rage’ so I touched his arm again for some reassurance.

After about fifteen minutes of Mom, Randve, and Camilla giving me motherhood advice they all shuffled off and went back to whatever they were doing before we summoned them.

When they all finally left Alex kneeled down in front of me and rested the side of his face on my stomach “I can’t wait to see you two, I am your Papa, I love you the most out of everyone on the earth except your Momma” he looked up at me as I chuckled at him.

“I can’t wait to see your stomach swollen with my pups, watch as your body changes as you grow our boys” he rubs my still flat stomach moving around to my hips to lock his hands around my lower back and pull me in closer. Honestly with the way Alex and I have been having s*x since we mated it was a miracle we hadn’t got pregnant earlier.

My wolf started pacing in my head, she wanted Alex, she started whining which bounced off the walls of my skull. I ran my fingers through Alex’s hair but eventually I gripped his hair and pulled it forcing his eyes to meet mine, when they did he let out a growl. His eyes started to glow like a candle was held behind them making the dark brown into a chocolatey brown, I could tell he was getting turned on.

I pulled his hair again more forceful this time and was rewarded with another deep growl from Alex.

Alex got up off his knees to crash his lips onto mine, I opened my lips automatically to allow him access. Our tongues wrestled and Alex picked me up, my legs automatically wrapped around his waist as he cupped my ass to support me. He nipped at my breasts through my shirt, I moaned loudly, my n*****s were so sensitive as a side effect of the pregnancy.

“f**k baby, I am taking you home now” Alex opened up the door to the conference room and carried me to our house kissing all the way. This pregnancy was going to be fun.
