Leon finished his ice cream before either of them had eaten half of theirs.
He looked at the empty cup, then looked at Evelyn's, then at Aidan's.
"Can we go to the beach?" he said.
"Absolutely not, baby" Evelyn said.

"We're already out," Aidan chimed in,
Evelyn turned and looked at him.
"People will see us," she said.
"See us doing what? Having at a beach?"
"Together," she said. "People will see us together and they will–"
"Want me to rent the whole beach? Make it private?" he said.

"Please, Mommy? I even have some money to help rent it."
