Give yourself a minute. You just traveled through space.” Her normally stern voice was calm and soothing. Too calm. “Let me go.” I shook off the arm she’d wrapped around my waist and headed out the doors to the employee area where the people I worked for had taken me before. Without the warden’s knowledge, of course. There was a locker room in the back where the cafeteria and cleaning staff kept their personal belongings and my things should still be there. My clothes.
