Zoey p.o.v Entering the apartment mom and I lived in for years now, the silence that welcomed me was deafening. The coldness of the living brought goosebumps on my body, the memory of when I was daytime kidn*pped flashed before my eyes. I shrunk back as sudden fear engulfed me. I shook my head rapidly to push back the fear. I wanted a quiet rest. That's why I begged the driver to bring me here. I don't know if this is a wise choice with the lurking threats.
