The Dangerous Stranger
Rain poured endlessly across the quiet streets of Victoria Island as Andrea stood nervously beside the black luxury car.
The cold wind brushed against her wet skin, making her shiver slightly.
Inside the vehicle, the stranger looked pale and restless. Sweat covered his forehead despite the cold weather, and his breathing had become uneven.
The man seated in the front turned back worriedly.
“Sir, your condition is getting worse.”
Andrea frowned slightly.
Condition?
The stranger ignored the warning completely. Instead, his dark eyes remained fixed on Andrea.
“Please,” he said again, his voice lower this time.
Andrea hesitated.
Every part of her told her to walk away. Entering a stranger’s car in the middle of the night sounded dangerous.
But something about the pain in his eyes stopped her.
“What’s wrong with him?” she asked carefully.
The driver hesitated before answering.
“He was drugged.”
Andrea’s eyes widened slightly in shock.
“What?”
The stranger leaned back weakly against the leather seat.
“My enemies,” he muttered coldly.
Andrea swallowed nervously.
Even in his weak state, the man looked powerful and intimidating. His expensive watch, tailored black suit, and commanding presence made it obvious that he was wealthy.
Very wealthy.
The stranger looked at her again.
“I’ll pay you.”
Andrea blinked slowly.
“What?”
“Any amount you want.”
The words hit her harder than expected.
Money.
Andrea immediately remembered Rebel’s insults, her empty account balance, and the painful reality waiting for her if she returned home.
For a moment, silence filled the air between them.
Then the stranger spoke again.
“I just need your help tonight.”
The driver looked uncomfortable.
“Sir…”
“Get out, Mark,” the stranger ordered quietly.
Mark hesitated but obeyed immediately.
Andrea’s heartbeat quickened.
Now they were alone.
Rain continued pouring heavily outside while thunder echoed across the dark sky.
Andrea hugged herself tightly.
She hated herself for even considering it.
But she was tired.
Tired of suffering.
Tired of humiliation.
Tired of feeling unwanted.
Slowly, the stranger extended his hand toward her.
“My name is Sebastian Gu.”
Andrea stared at him silently before answering softly.
“Andrea.”
For a brief moment, their eyes locked.
Something strange passed between them.
Something neither of them understood yet.
Then slowly—
Andrea entered the car.
