Chapter 3:

There was a two woman facing each other. The other was so calm while other has her guard up.

She did not know what Astria want and she was still confused with many things.

"Say, how many years has passed and yet you're still here at your room, did not even go out for a minute. You love this room so much? "Astria stated.

Avianna remained silent. She was just staring at her.

"They were so worried. Why won't you come out and inhale some fresh air? "she added.

Still, she did not say anything. Astria felt like she's the only one here and was talking to herself.

"You can answer, if you plan to. "

Avianna threw her a glare. "Get out. "

Astria held her chin up. She did not know how to coax her. She can only do one thing.

Her eyes swiftly glance at the picture frame hanging on the wall. She smirked. "Your mother looks like you. Very alike. "

Avianna's eyes narrowed when she heard her mentioned her mother. "What do you want? Don't mention my mother. "

"Eh, why? Tanya told me about your story."

Avianna stiffened. She subconsciously turned her hand into fist. "Get out now. "

Astria ignored her."They said that your mother's death made you suffered."

Avianna shut her eyes closed tightly. Even if she will deny it, it was the truth. But there were another reason apart from that.

"But you know? I did not believe it entirely. "Astria said softly.

Avianna slowly opened her eyes, there was a trace of surprise appeared in her eyes. She did not expect what Astria just said.

"What do you mean? "

Astria's face turned serious. "There was something more. "

Avianna's breath slowed down. She looked away. "I don't know what you're talking about. "

Astria stood up and tidied her clothes. "We're the same Avianna. "

She frozed and looked at her who was walking towards the door. W-what did she mean by that? We're the same?

She mean.... that she also suffered like this or..... was there something more?

What about her voice on my head earlier ? She admitted it, is she the same as me?

Astria stopped at the door and chuckled. "I'm staying here. Just come out and approach me if you want something for me to answer."

The door closed. Leaving Avianna froze on her seat. There was bewilderment on her face. She can't understand what did she just meant.

But........ she had the feeling that being closed to that woman feels like her safety was secured. That she don't have to be scared.

Astria was smiling faintly as she walked towards the dining.

She was certain that maybe after three to four days, Avianna would come seek her.

She saw Mrs. Miller who was already finished eating her lunch.

"Auntie... "

Mrs. Miller anxiously looked at her. "Did something happen? We heard a noise on Avianna's room earlier. "

Astria sat and picked some food. "It was nothing. You don't have to worry Auntie. "

Mrs. Miller sighed in relief. "That's good. Then, eat your lunch. I'm going to my room. "

Astria nodded and started to eat, and Mrs. Miller went to her room. Astria then call a maid over.

"What is it, Miss Astria? "the maid asked.

"Bring Avianna a lunch. "

The maid was confused. Didn't she just brought Miss Avianna a lunch earlier? Miss Astria took it, she did not gave it to Miss Avianna?

Seeing the maid's puzzlement, she explained with only two words. "Something happened. "

The maid can only nod her head and gave Avianna her lunch again.

Inside her room, Avianna was sitting on the sofa. She has her arms crossed in front of her chest. Her face showed confusement. Her thoughts was in mess.

She can't understand what Astria means by those words.

She looked at her Mom's picture. In the picture, her mother was smiling. There was a big amount of happiness on her eyes.

"Mom, do you have this 'kind' of thing too? "she whispered. She meant about her power.

There was longing and sadness in her eyes as she continued to stare at the picture. Like she's afraid that one day, that picture would vanished.

She was sure that Astria also had a power like here. When she heard her voice in her head. But, she can't make herself believe it as she was still scared.

She messed up her hair as she cleared her thoughts, she want to rest, she don't want to think about it now.

A knock sounded and she subconsciously straighten her back. She thought that Astria was back again when a voice sounded from the outside.

"Miss Avianna, your lunch is here. "

She sighed in relief when it's a maid's voice. She then heard a footsteps coming downstairs.

She picked her lunch and silently ate it.

The evening comes, Tanya arrived with her face looks so down. Earlier at the company, a commotion happened. Someone stole an important document. It was a Business Plan the Main Company gave them.

It was placed by her secretary in her office but it suddenly disappeared. They need to start and execute the plan tomorrow.

The Business Plan was a very confidential document. And now that it was stolen, how can they gave the main company an answer?

Astria saw her expressions and noticed that there was something wrong. "What happened? "

Tanya sat at the sofa, her face showed a disappointed and sad expression. "The Business Plan the main company gave us, was stolen. "

Astria frowned. Stolen? How can that be?

"It was stolen in my office earlier. And we're still doing our best to find it. "

Astria shook her head lightly and sat at the single sofa. "Did you suspected someone?"

Tanya nodded seriously. "Including the Middle-managers, we suspected that our rival company stole it. We concluded that they placed a mole in our company. "

"Who is your rival? "

Tanya gritted her teeth in irritation. "The branch company of AG Corporation."

"Who did you suspect as the rival's mole? "Astria asked.

"Everyone was suspicious. I am still investigating. When I checked every CCTV on the company specially on my office, I found nothing. Someone deleted the footage the time the document was stolen. "

Tanya has a troubled face. She was anxious about it. She can't let that Business Plan go to the Rival's hands! Or else, an unimaginable losses would happen.

She also don't know how to report this to the main company.

Astria nodded her head when she understood the situation. She pondered for a while.

"Hmm...... do you want me to help? "

Tanya's face brightened. "Really? You'll help me? "

She nodded."Hmm, count this as my gratitude to you and Auntie. "

Tanya sighed in relief. She was sure that Astria can solved this.

When Astria saw her trusted her that much to solved the problem, she don't know whether she'll cry or laugh.

"Miss Tanya and Miss Astria, the dinner was already served. "a maid announced and the both of them went to the dining.

Mrs. Miller was already there. Seeing the two woman's closeness, she can't help but smile. She would be so happy if Astria would be her daughter.

Tanya told her mother about what happened in the company including Astria's help. They were chit chatted not knowing that a pair of eyes was looking at them.

Two years at most, she did not go out her room. She almost forget her Aunt and cousin's face. The structures of the house and others.

She was standing in front of the railings and just looking at them. Her eyes stopped to Astria. She observed her for a few minutes but she found nothing. She shook her head and went back to her room.

Astria smiled secretly and glanced upstairs.

Tanya brought Astria on the company. As usual, many employees greeted her while peeking at Astria, they we're thinking what was her relation to their manager.

Tanya noticed it but she ignored them and gladly brought Astria to her office.

Her office was themed blue. Her office was huge, with her office table on the other side, there was a two single sofa and a coffee table. There were so many antiques arranged on a set. Looks like, she likes Antiques so much.

Tanya offered her a seat and brewed a tea. There are only the two of them accompanied by silence.

"The documents was put on my drawer. "Tanya stated.

"Who were the person that can enter your office casually? "Astria asked as she roamed her eyes around.

"My secretary, Jake. "she paused for a while. "You did not suspect him, aren't you? "

Astria shrugs."Why can't I? Everyone was suspicious. "

Tanya only bite her lips and didn't say anything. Tanya secretly wished that Jake did not do it. She and Jake has a secret relationship, due to the rules that 'no relationship between employees ' they decided to keep it a secret. Even her mother did not know about it. Only the two of them.

They just act as a manager and secretary relationship in public, but in private, they've been flowed by a lot of sweetness.

A knock sounded and Jake entered. Tanya's eyes secretly brightened. "Hmm, you're here."

Jake bowed his head a little bit and reminded Tanya about the meeting.

"Miss Miller, the meeting will start within five minutes. "he said as their eyes secretly met.

Tanya smiled and stood up. She looked at Astria. "I'll be in a meeting for a bit. You can stay here while I'm not around. "

Astria gave her a reassuring smile."Okay, I'll be waiting then. "

Both of them went out leaving Astria behind. She stood up and observed Tanya's office for a while before went outside.

Outside the door, and above on it, there was a CCTV camera.

She decided to gave herself a tour. She walked on a different direction and found some office that has a name on it. All of that was written on her mind.

She stopped in front of an office. It was Secretary Jake's office. After a few seconds she left and went to the other direction.

An employee bumped into her. She took the chance and asked the employee.

"Excuse me, what is that room? "she pointed the room in front of her.

The employee answered. "That is a Security Room, Miss. Why? "

Astria shook her head and thanked the employee who had immediately left. She was about to enter the room when a guard on the corner stopped her.

"Miss, only authorized person can enter this room. "the guard said firmly.

Astria apologized. "I'm sorry. I did not know that. "

The guard just nodded and Astria can only left. She smirked. Authorized person, huh.

Inside the meeting room, silence filled the entire room. The Middle-managers has their heads lowered. Tanya was massaging her temples.

The investigation was still ongoing, but the main company asked for the starting report. They can't just dig a grave for themselves by reporting that they lost the Business Plan.

"I want a result of the investigation until 4:00 pm. If not, then we're all dead. "Tanya said coldly and left. Jake followed her and the Middle-managers can only pray that they will find the Business Plan until 4 in the evening.

Astria was standing on the wall and looked at Tanya who was listening to Jake's report while walking towards to her office.

Astria was on the back while staring at someone. That someone's hidden smirk cannot be hidden to Astria. She saw it and it's mocking eyes.

She watched everyone's expression and only that 'someone' revealed that kind of expression. Made her certain about her suspicion towards that 'someone'.

Now, she only need an evidence.

She walked towards Tanya's office and when Tanya saw her she sighed in relief. She was puzzled why Astria disappeared.

"I went to the Comfort Room. "she explained.

Tanya nodded and accepted her reason. She sat at her swivel chair. "The Main Company has requested a starting report about the Business Plan. "

Jake was shocked when Tanya said that in front of an outsider. "Miss—"

Tanya cut him off. "She's my friend. Don't worry. "

Astria smiled at Jake. "No worries, I'm a 'loyal' friend. "

She emphasized the word 'loyal'. Jake forced a smile but he unusually became nervous.

Tanya was pleased when she heard her say she's a loyal friend. She really liked Astria.

"Well, can you gave us some snacks? "Astria requested with a glint in her eyes.

Jake carried the order and silently left.

"This time, I'm really dead! "Tanya said disappointedly.

Astria chuckled. "Don't lose hope that early. How about this, gave me the details what time did the documents was stolen. "

Tanya threw her a folder and Astria easily caught it.

"Everything is inside of that folder."Tanya said.

Astria nodded and read everything. While reading she casually asked something. "Say, this incident happened 1:00 in the afternoon yesterday? "

Tanya nodded weakly. "Yep. "

"Weren't you at your office on that moment? "

Tanya pondered a bit. "Well, I was attending some meeting outside. When I came back, the Business Plan was already stolen."

"With who? Who's with you at your meeting."she added.

"Myself only. "

Astria stopped and a frown was written on her forehead. "Didn't Jake come with you?"

Tanya shook her head. "Nope. He went to the hospital. His mother was admitted. "

"Is that so? "Astria said as she put the documents on the coffee table.

"Yes. When I figured out that the Business Plan was missing, I immediately ordered to tightened the security. Searched every corner of the company but I still did not found it. "Tanya said as she drank a glass of water.

"Can you lend me a car for a while? I'll go somewhere. "Astria asked and placed her hands in front of Tanya asking for a key.

Tanya frowned but still gave her a key. "Where is that somewhere? "

"Don't worry, I'll be back immediately. " Astria immediately left.

When 4:00 in the evening arrived, they gathered at the meeting room. The Middle-managers carried a disappointed expression.

They did not have any evidence, any clues, even that they had already interrogated every employee on the company. All of them was anxious except of one of the Middle-managers Rolando who was secretly celebrating his victory.

Haha! Finally! This time, Tanya would be fired for sure! And I can take this opportunity to replace her and seize that throne!

Rolando was Tanya's close friend among all them. Tanya trusted him that much but she did not know that Rolando was stabbing her from the back cruelly.

He ordered someone to stole the document for his plan to proceed successfully. He did this erroneous things under their nose! He also embezzled a big amount of money in the company without being noticed!

"What? Still did not found the Business Plan?"Tanya said in disbelief.

They remained silent until one of the Middle-managers spoke."Manager Miller, CCTV has been deleted. The interrogations of the employees was not suspicious and we only have a small amount of time. "

"Manager Miller, we're already clear that this was our rival's doing, why can't we just face them and ask them to give the document back?!"another one said and the rest followed.

"That can't be! We don't have an evidence! We're just creating more trouble! "

"But they can only be the one to do this ridiculous things!"

Seeing the discussion heated up, Rolando took action.

"Don't be rash. Maybe we can just apologize and explain it to the main company—"he did not finished his words when someone cut him off.

"What apologize? She needs to do it! She's being too careless! "

"I wished we did not gave that document to her when that document arrived. Otherwise,this thing won't happen."

He secretly sneered and at the same time pretending to be a kind friend and protected Tanya. "She is the manager so it was right that she holds that important documents. "

"Stop protecting her. "

"Your too kind! "

"Mr. Rolando, she was in the mistake, you should not protect her everytime! "

"That document was in her hands yet it was stolen! She's too careless! "

Rolando shook his head. He looks so helpless and anxious.Tanya's face softened a bit to Rolando's words but when Tanya heard all of their harsh words, she gritted her teeth. This goddamn bastard! All they can do was to blame her for every problems that happened! They're just good on blaming someone!

"Silence! "she said coldly.

They shut their mouth, but there were many Middle-managers who did not like her and just throw her a disdainful smile and a mockery appeared in their eyes.

A Manager was a high level position in the branch company so many people eyed that position. Unlike the Middle-managers who was below the Top Manager's position. They may act as a polite and kind employee and Middle-managers but behind that act was a hidden greeedy heart.

"Call the Main Company—"Tanya did not finished her words when a loud bang was heard on the door.

Astria entered with a smile. There was a folder on her hand. "Good evening."

All of them was surprised and was ridiculously looked at her. Didn't she know that they had an important meeting here? And who is she to just barged in whenever she wants?!

"A-astria..... why are you here? "Tanya asked in surprise.

"I know where is the Business Plan document."she stated casually.

All of the officers was looking at her like she was an i***t. They did not found the document, yet she found it? Isn't it too foolish?

Rolando smirked, this girl was being too i***t.

"Miss, stop talking nonsense. This is not a place for a kid to play. "one of Middle-managers said.

Because of Astria's young face, they thought she was just a high school student.

"How did you know about the Business Plan? "another one said in disbelief.

All of them realized that the lady that just barged in knew about the confidential document! Now, they're glaring at Tanya. Tanya knew her so Tanya would be the one to tell her about that!

"Manager! You're being too ridiculous! How can you let anyone know about this?!"

"Manager Miller! This is a very confidential document! "

"Expanding our business was in that document! If our rival will know about this, our losses would be unimaginable! "

One after another, they scold Tanya harshly. Tanya shut her eyes tightly while their voices did not stop coming into her ears. She did not care about them, she just want the Business Plan.

She ignored them and worriedly looked at Astria. "You have the Business Plan? "

Astria's eyes glinted and gazed at them with her cold eyes. She knew that this would happen.

"No. "

They snorted and mocked at her. But Astria continued to speak.

"But I know where can I found it. "

Tanya's back straightened."You..... you know where it was? "

Rolando's eyes narrowed slightly. "What do you mean, little girl? "

Astria almost laughed when she heard what did Rolando called her. Little girl? Heh!

"I meant what I said. "

"Stop talking nonsense here! Your disturbing us! Go out! Or I'll call a security! "another Middle-managers said.

Astria smirked. "Mr. Gabriel Santos, you want to chase me out? If that will happen, then, what if at the same time, you are also going to be chased out from your house because of your some illicit affairs on the outside? "

Gabriel widened his eyes and pointed his fingers on her in disbelief."Y-you! Stop spouting nonsense! "

Some Middle-managers did not know about it but some already knew. The one who did not know was staring at him curiously and the others was throwing him a disdainful gaze.

Gabriel was in rage because of his secret exposed. It was true that he has some illicit affairs under his wife's eyes. But it was being kept as a secret and if they would meet they would make sure that no one would saw them! Now how can this girl knew about this?! Can someone explain this?!
