Chapter 7:

The night had already fallen when Tanya woke up. She held her head when she felt her head ache. She is frowning in puzzlement.

What had she done to have this head ache? And.... where am I?

Astria who was sitting on a single sofa beside her bed answered her puzzlement,"In a hotel. You're so drunk and I know you don't want to come home at this state so I just rented a hotel. "

Hearing this, she messed up her hair. "Oh, god! "

She had drink just to wash away the pain in her heart, she did not expect that she wasted herself.

With a down-face, she looked around. "What time is it? "

"8 in the night. "Astria answered shortly as she sip on her coffee.

"God, I did not come home for too long. Mom should be worried right now. "Tanya said worrily.

She knew her mother best but, she's been controlled by her emotions.

Astria just looked at her and sighed. "Nah, let's go home now. There was a good news who were waiting for us. "

Tanya frowned curiously. "What do you mean by good news? "

Astria gave her a side-look. "You'll know when we arrive. "

Even if filled with curiousness, she washed and clear her mind to ease the pain on her head. She had a good feeling about this.

Astria drove her back to the house. She had gave Avianna a text that they would arrive soon.

When Mrs. Miller heard the car's sound of arriving, she look at Avianna joyfully. Excited to give Tanya the news.

Avianna forced a smile as she held the hem of her dress tightly. They had planned to surprise Tanya but she was too nervous and was helping herself yo act normal.

Entering the door, Tanya immediately found Mrs. Miller at the living room sitting on the sofa.

She tearfully smiled and quickly came to hug her Mom. "Mom, I'm sorry! You've must been worried about me! "

Mrs. Miller was startled at Tanya's sudden actions, but when she heard her say those words, she smiled warmly and tapped her shoulder.

"You child,I really am worried about you! Even if your busy, you should come home and rest! Don't tire yourself too hard! "

Tanya released the hug and smiled shyly at her mother's scolding. She's an adult now yet her mother loved to scold her.

But hearing her mother's words, it was very clear that she don't know anything. She look at Astria who was smiling at her while leaning at the wall.

She smiled back. Astria did helped her many things.

"Alright. I'll keep that in mind. "Tanya chuckled.

Astria looked at Avianna who were so nervous and shook her head.

"Don't be nervous. Just say what you want to say. "

Avianna almost jumped in shock when she heard Astria's voice in her mind. She replied back,,,

"G-godness! Master! Don't you dare startle me again! "

Astria blinked. She did not expect her to be shock at that point.

"Oh, did I? "

Avianna almost hit Astria in her head. God! Did she not know how frightening it is to have heard someone's voice in your mind when you're so nervous?!

Avianna glared at her.

"Stop using your telepathy to talk to me! "

Astria shruggs and just stayed silent. I'm just comforting her yet she gave me an opposite reply. Psh!

"..."

Mrs. Miller sighed. "Tanya, someone wants to meet you. "

Tanya frowned. "Who? "

She thinks that maybe this is the good news Astria said to her.

Avianna slowly went forward. She wore a shy smile. "Ate Tanya.... "

Tanya froze. Her eyes widened, she did not expected this to happen.

"Y-you.... Avianna? "

Avianna nodded. "Long time no see. "

Tanya gasped in surprise as her eyes watered. She covered her mouth by her hands as she was overwhelmed. She grab Avianna gently into her embrace.

"Oh, God! Avianna! I missed you so much! "

Mrs. Miller felt her heart warmed at the scene in front of her. This was like a family that had finally completed!

There was a faint smile on Astria's lips. She was happy about them. Eventhough that she had felt a trace of longing for her family, she did not dare to show it to anyone.

This would be a good opportunity for Tanya to slowly forgot about what had happened.

Seeing Avianna after a very long time, they just spent the time to bond each other. They celebrated happily. Completely forgotten any other things.

During midnight, all of them went to their room and rest. Astia did not feel to sleep so she decided to search someone on the internet. Avianna's birthday would be coming soon.

Her eyes were focused on her laptop when it stop and swiftly glance at her door when someone knocked.

"Come in. It's unlock. "she said.

The door opened slowly and Avianna entered.

She smiled knowing that Astria still did not sleep.

"What are you doing? "she asked and sat beside Astria.

Before she read a word, the laptop closed. Astria crossed her arms towards her chest.

"It's midnight. Why aren't you sleeping? "

Avianna chuckled and laid on the bed. "I'm just happy. "

Astria's lips twitched up. She just came to her room and show to her that she's happy?

"Go back to your room. "

Avianna pouted as she sat back. "Why didn't you let me saw what you're doing? "

Astria shruggs. "Not necessary. "

"Psh! Master, after this, would you train me? "Avianna asked.

"No. "Astria casually said.

Avianna frowned. Why wouldn't she train me? I still did not know how to use this ability of mine!

"Go back to school first. "

Avianna stunned. Going to school?

Her memories flashed through her mind. On how she had been bullied by a bunch of students. With just that, her heart skipped a beat.

She looked away. "I can do a home schooling. There's no need for that. "

"Why would you want me to be your teacher if you don't even listen and obey my command? "

Avianna's lips twitched up. Wouldn't the teacher also need to listen about my opinion about that 'command'?

She did not say anything and remained silent. Her head were lowered.

Astria shook her head. Not that easy for her to trust me completely.

"Those students who were bullying you, are you just letting them to do that again to you? "

Avianna's jaw moved.

"Why wouldn't you show them that you were not that easy to bully? Show them that you are better than them. "

Avianna slowly look up and their eyes met.

"You mean, I am more better in terms of bullying them? "

Astria scratch her eyebrow. Did I say that? More better in terms of bullying? Am I that kind of teacher to teach my students on that 'kind' of things?

"No. I mean, you were better than them in many things. Exclude the bad things. "Astria said.

Avianna nodded as she understood. But she hesitated when she suddenly think of something.

"You are that sure that I am better than them? "her voice was low as she hesitated to say those words.

Astria chuckled. "Aren't you? "

Avianna felt a warmth in her heart. To have someone to believe about your capabilities. That would be enough to make her feel happy.

"You are my student. I am sure that I don't have a dumb and stupid student. "

Avianna let out a warm smile. "I'll assure you that I would never let you down. "

Astria nodded at her courage and gave her a bunch of papers. Avianna frowned as she browsed through it.

"Study all of that. Tomorrow on the evening, I will give you a test. "Astria said.

Avianna widened her eyes. Is she freaking sure?! This papers should be about an index finger of thickness! And I'm going to study all of it?!

"Your not mad aren't you? "Avianna asked doubtly.

Astria shruggs. "Nope. I'm being considerate. You should have finish studying that tomorrow in the lunch time but I delayed it in the evening. "

"..."

C-considerate?! This can be called being considerate?!

And what? I should have finish to study all of this tomorrow in the lunch time but she 'gratefully' delayed it until on the evening?!

Should I really thank her for that.....

Does she think that I am that genius? Just looking at this papers would make my head ache! Oh, God! Tell me I'm not wrong about deciding to be her disciple........

"You still had many papers left to answer."Astria added.

Avianna wished that she should have gone to her room. She should had not come here.

Thankfully that she is an obedient disciple. She had promised herself to obey her master without letting her down.

She sighed. "I've been doing a home-school for the past years. What is this for? "

Astria smiled. "That's right. I've checked your grades and it's all good. You have a good brain indeed. It would be a waste to not use that, right? "

Avianna frowned not understanding what did she just mean.

"The Cloud University had released a notice that they would give a scholarship to those students who had an intelligent brain. I planned to register you there. "

Avianna gasped. She just can't believe what she heard!

Cloud University were one of the most Prestigious University! They all had the skilled teachers under them. Their funds is unlimited and they all accept the students from a rich family! All that graduated there were now very successful!

It's very clear that all students there were very smart! If you were not smart, you can't get inside in that University!

"C-cloud University? "

"Yes. Why? "

Avianna looked at her like she was exaggerating. "You want me to go study there? "

Astria nodded. "Yes."

After Avianna is done eating, she excused herself to do some homework. Astria did not plan to tell Mrs. Miller and Tanya about registering Avianna's name in the Cloud University Scholarship list.

She decided to tell them if Avianna really get a hold of that scholarship. Of course, she is confident that Avianna would get that.

Avianna has an intelligent mind. She gained that trait from her mother. It would be a real waste to not use it for her future, right?

Tanya was about to get inside her car when she saw Astria walked towards the garden.

She smiled and went near her. "Astria.. "

Astria look at her puzzledly. "Yes? Aren't you gonna go to work? "

Tanya slowly reach out her hands to hug her. "Thank you, for everything. "

Astria stunned a little before she tapped Tanya's back. Her lips formed a faint smile.

"You've done many things for me too. "

Tanya felt blessed to have met Astria. Astria was like a blessing that had fallen in front of them.

In the company, Mr. Rolando was pissed off and decided to bring the case on the court. All Middle-managers can't step forward to help him as they've been ordered to not go near to Rolando.

The case delayed in days and the Business Plan was executed perfectly. Their products had received many good comments and had received some big offers. The Market has increased greatly. The Main Company was very satisfied. In a very short time, they've done a good result.

Their business would expand soon in no time. Tanya's position became more and more secured. Her capabilities had improved by gaps.

Hearing all the news from the outside, Rolando had gotten more mad. If I had just completed my plan, this would not happen! The position of Manager should be mine!

Even if his heart was filled with malicious intent, he forced himself to calm down and think of a way to clear his name. He just need to erase their suspicion about them.

He decided to put the fault to Jake but the more Rolando put the fault to Jake, the more Jake also got angry. He had already reached his limits.

Rolando and Jake was put in the prison. They've been replaced by someone that was chosen by Tanya personally.

Tanya offered Astria to replace Rolando's position but Astria rejected it politely. Astria already has a job to apply in mind.

In the house, everything was good. The relationship between them and Avianna improved in such a short amount of time. Astria also keep giving Avianna some answer sheet before her birthday comes.

On the first test, Avianna passed. She was happy to have a good result on her hard work. On the second test, it was more harder.

Avianna used her brain seriously to passed every test Astria gave her. And every test, she did really passed.

Astria was also satisfied of the result. Avianna's birthday would be coming next week. Mrs. Miller planned to invite her circle of friends and also Tanya. They will prepare a big celebration mostly that Avianna had changed.

Avianna had just finished to answer a bunch of test papers when she went to the kitchen to get some food. She saw Astria who were baking a cake.

"You're baking a cake? "Avianna asked and went to her.

Astria replied. "Hmm, just trying to make one. "

Avianna smiled cheekily. "Ehh, in the next day would be the Entrance Examination of Cloud University. Are you giving me an early gift? "

Astria look at her with a blank face. "Early gift or any gift doesn't work in me. Just baking it to eat."

Avianna:"..."

For the time they've been with each other, they slowly know each other's attitude, hobbies, likes and whats not.

Astria did not really have a hobby of baking, it is just that she saw a pic of a cake with a pretty design. It looks delicious. So she tried to bake too.

This is the first time Avianna saw Astria baking a cake. She was surprised a little.

"But you should give me a gift if I'd get the scholarship, and also my birthday is coming soon. "

Avianna grinned. "I really hate essays. Like......, who would want to write an essay? "

Astria stopped and looked at her, "What if your Exam on the upcoming Entrance Examination would need you to write an essay? "

"I would not answer it. "

Astria shook her head. When she always checked her answers, the only thing she's bad at is writing an essay.

Astria finally done to her cake. She stretched her hands and massage it before starting to clean out her mess.

Avianna held her chin up, her fingers were still scrolling about the news.

"Master, do you know Zac Tyler? "

"No. "Astria said shortly.

"What about Layla Beckett?"

"No. "

Avianna straightened her back. "You did not know both of them? "

Astria paused and puzzledly asked, "Why should I? "

Why would I know about them? I don't even care to know who they are.

Avianna was speechless. Zac Tyler is a most popular actor on Worldwide Glory Entertainment. He maybe had a short-temper, and hard-headed personality but his dashing looks captured the hearts of many. After his debut, everything went smoothly but his attitude sometimes step on the way. He began to accept a big production that had millions invested on it. His popularity can only soar higher and higher.

And Layla Beckett, she is also a famous actress. She was named as a 'Goddess Layla' due to her beauty. Her kind and down-to-earth attitude made many people to like her. After she debuted, she was chosen to be the female lead of a movie that had soared a great popularity.

Their names was all over the social media, tabloids, newspapers and etc!

Both of them were under on the same company, and their popularity were in the highest level!

And yet, she did not know the two of them?! Did she even visit the social media?!

"Nah, just forget it. "Avianna shook her head when Astria added,,,

"Are they that popular? "

Avianna's lips formed an 'O'. Just by the looks of the cake, it looked so delicious!

She slowly eat it and the sweetness of cake overwhelmed her.

"Master! It's so delicious! "she exclaimed as she eat more.

Astria smirked."Of course. It was me who baked it. "

Avianna gave her a thumbs up. "Agree! "
