Chapter 5:

Astria, Tanya and the Middle-managers were walking towards Rolando's office. They were thinking that she was just putting herself into trouble. They thought that this time, she would slap herself with her own words.

Rolando unusually felt that something terrible would happen. But he trust Jake that he already took away that document. So there should be no problem.

When they arrived at the office, they immediately entered.

The Middle-managers was smirking when they suddenly saw Jake in front of them, they jolted in shock!

Rolando was the one who was so shocked! His eyes widened, as his whole body froze.His eyes fell at the document he's holding!

No...... Jake should not be here!

Why did he still not left?! The time was enough for him to leave and took away the document!

But now, he can only wished that the ground would swallow him.

The Middle-managers regained their senses shortly. They was about to ask him why he was here when they saw the thing he's holding at his hands.

"T-the document...."

"That is the Business Plan! "

"It really is! "

One of the Middle-managers snatched the Business Plan at his hands and examined it carefully. The document was passed by one to another happily. They finally found the Business Plan!

Jake was still in shock, he staggered.He can't believe that they are here in front of him! He looks like his soul left his body! His mind was more chaotic than earlier!

He slowly looked at Tanya immediately who was dumbfounded while staring at him. Her heart skipped a bit and she was in daze.

She can't believe it.

She can't believe that the Business Plan was on his hands. She can't believe that he has the Business Plan!

The only question she wants to ask is......... why.

Jake ignored her and looked at Rolando, hoping that he would help him! But Rolando was also so shocked! He did not bother to help Jake as he was thinking of a way to escape himself from this!

Jake was too i***t! He was bringing them down! And yet he seeked for his help?!

The other Middle-managers looked at Jake confusedly. They were thinking why did the Business Plan fall on his hands in Rolando's office?! Don't tell me he was the one who stole it?!

One of the Middle-managers cleared his throat. They were all disappointed! Jake is a trusted Secretary!

"You must explain this Jake. "

Jake gulped and his heart beats rapidly. He did not know what to say as he was so nervous.

"I..... I-I.. "he can only pronounced 'I'. His mind was blank! And he can't think of any excuses!

He silently cursed himself.

The other Middle-managers was shooking their head in dismay. They really did not expect this. It was very different and unbelievable from their expectations!

Tanya calmed herself as her face turned cold. She needs to remember that she is still a manager. "Let's talk on the meeting room. "

They silently went back to the meeting room. Astria, who was watching the scene, worriedly looked at Tanya who was lost at herself.

She knew that both of them has a secret relationship. Their gazes was just too obvious for Astria. She can easily read their expressions, and actions.

It just Jake did not deserve her. She needs to know about Jake's cheating, that he was just using her for money, that their relationship is merely unreal.

But Astria can't do anything, everything would still reveal in the unknown time. She can't just let Tanya be stuck at their so-called secret relationship.

At the meeting room, there was a deafening silence. The Middle-managers was disappointed at Jake's traitorous act. Jake worked on the company for two years already. He gained their trust just like Rolando. He was so obedient and law abiding citizen. Has a great patience and deal with the works with his talent.

Even Tanya fell inlove with him. And now, she felt like her world just turned into pieces. Her heart ached hurtfully. Seeing the scenes earlier, and Jake ignoring her questioningly gaze. It looks like he really did stole it.

"Explain. "she said coldly to him.

Jake lowered his head and didn't say anything.

"You really stole the Business Plan? "

He is still silent. He don't want to speak and look at Tanya's expression. He was being eaten in guilt.

Tanya closed her eyes and calmed herself. "What are you doing at Rolando's office? "

Rolando's back straighten. He was so nervous but he still managed to maintain his troubled expression. Like he was being framed.

"Manager, I don't know why Jake was in my office—"he did not finished his words when Tanya interfered.

"I'm not talking to you. "

Rolando shook his head and shut his mouth. The other Middle-managers are looking at him. They began to suspect him. Jake was found on Rolando's office, holding the Business Plan in his hands and was about to leave when they caught him on the spot.

Leaving with the document, it was clear that the Business Plan was really on Rolando's office. Knowing that they planned to search his office, Jake went out and hurriedly got the document and was about to leave.

Basically, they conclude that the two of them was an accomplice!

But due to their trust to Rolando, they did not dare to conclude anything openly. They were merely suspecting him. They also thought that maybe Jake was just framing him.

"Mr. Jake Gomez, are you going to answer me or not?! "she yelled at him but Jake did not move even an inch.

Seeing that he did not say a word, she was more frustated. "Bring Mr. Rolando and Mr. Jake in the interrogation room. Don't let them come out without my permission. "

Rolando stood up in exaggeration."Manager! You know that I would not do that! Jake is framing me! "

Jake who heard his words blinked and laughed bitterly. He was the one who ordered me that yet he claimed that I am just framing him? How thick his skin is!

Tanya looked at Rolando blankly."Were just interrogating not accusing. "

Rolando gritted his teeth as the bodyguards grab both of him and Jake. He glared at Jake furiously. If not for his careless actions, then they would not end up like this!

His plan would still continue!

Jake also glared at him. Rolando was putting the fault on him just to let himself free! Does he think that he would let that?!

The other Middle-managers are sighing in puzzlement. They wished that the truth would reveal soon.

"Put the document in safe. Call the main company and say that we had a small incident and would execute the Business Plan tomorrow. Dismiss. "she said coldly and was about to get out when someone asked her.

"Manager, what about the interrogation? "

Tanya stopped. "Put them on a room and guard them. The interrogation would start tomorrow. "

Tanya then went straightly to her office.

And Astria immediately followed her. She understand what Tanya felt now. But this is the cruel truth.

That she's been backstabbed by a friend. Cheated by a boyfriend. Really cruel.

Tanya went to her office. She can't still fully absorbed the whole truth. Astria can only say farewell and go home, letting her be alone for some time.

When Astria arrived at the house, she saw Mrs. Miller who was worriedly sitting at the couch. When she saw Astria she immediately sighed in relief.

"Why are you home so late? "she asked her but she suddenly realized that Tanya did not came home, only Astria.

"Where is Tanya? "

Astria smiled faintly. "Auntie, Tanya is busy at her office. I think she would not come home today. "

Mrs. Miller nodded in understanding. Mrs. Miller is always worried about Tanya, she worked hard everytime. "Is that so? Then, how about the problem? Did you found the Business Plan? "

Seeing the worry in her eyes, Astria gave her an assuring smile. "We did Auntie. You don't need to worry. "

Mrs. Miller immediately smiled after hearing the good news. She thought that something had happened because it was already late and they still did not arrived.

She lead Astria to the dining.

"You made me worry, do you know that? "Mrs. Miller said.

Astria chuckled. Mrs. Miller is easy to worry. "Auntie, it's already late. You should rest now. "

Mrs. Miller was pleased by her concern. "Okay then. Eat your dinner and rest after. "

A maid went over and help Mrs. Miller to go to her room. Astria sat on the chair and silently ate her dinner.

In the middle of eating, her lips suddenly twitched up. When she arrived home she already felt the pair of eyes who were watching her every moves.

Without looking up, she said. "Why don't you come out and sit in front of me? "

Avianna who was hiding behind the big statue almost jump in shock when she heard what Astria said. How did she know that she was hiding?!

Avianna gulped as she slowly went out and revealed herself. She saw Astria who was still eating with her eyes on the food. Did she saw me watching her? But how can that be? She was watching her the whole time and Astria did not even looked at her!

"I felt it. "Astria suddenly said.

Avianna gritted her teeth as she walked and sit in front of her. "Stop reading my mind! "

Astria finally looked up and smirked. "You finally accepted that 'we are the same'? Not scared anymore? "

Avianna froze. She did still scared a little. But she was trying to fight it so that her questions can be cleared. She thought deeply about this, what Astria said to her always came to her mind. It won't get out so she thought carefully and finally came to a decision.

"You have telepathy, and you can read minds? "Avianna slowly asked.

Astria put down her spoon and fork and leaned back. This girl had affected greatly on her emotions.

"Yes. "

Avianna nodded her head. "Then, you know mine right? "

"Yes. "

Avianna blew a deep breath."Can you explain everything? "

Astria smiled. Finally, this girl gained a courage. "Let's go to my room. "

In her room, Astria brewed a tea. Avianna was just sitting on the couch while watching her. Astria moved elegantly. It is obvious that she is from a noble family.

After brewing, she served Avianna a cup of tea before answering. "Astria. Call me Astria. "

Avianna slowly looked at her and her words keep replaying on her mind. Like it was marked deep in her heart.

Astria was taken aback when she saw Avianna's expecting eyes. But she was glad, that she finally coaxed her not to be scared on her ability.

Astria smiled. "I will. "

Astria cleared her throat. "Go back to your room and rest."

Avianna nod her head and slowly stood up to walk towards the door. Before she held the doorknob, Astria added.

"Remember that I'll always at your side. Never gonna leave you. "the way Astria said it was gentle.

Avianna's lips formed a wide smile as she went towards her room. That two sentences will forever engraved in her heart.

Seeing her leave, Astria sighed in relief. She laid down on her bed as she went to a deep slumber.

In the company, Tanya was watching the interrogation of Jake in the other room. There was a computer in front of her, showing the interrogation at the whole time.

"You stole the Business Plan? "the interrogator asked.

Jake remained silent.

"Why did you stole it? "

"And why did you appear in Rolando's office at the time we caught you?"

"Is it true that Rolando and you are accomplice? "

Many questions was asked to him continously but he didn't answered the interrogator even once.

The interrogator was frustrated at Jake's sealed mouth, and can only go to Tanya to asked for other instructions.

"Manager, Mr. Jake's mouth is sealed and we can't get anything. "the interrogator said.

Tanya's expression was blank as she stared at him, didn't even blinked.

"How about the interrogation of Rolando? "she asked coldly.

Her mind cannot be read as her face was blank but her eyes was cold.

The interrogator shook his head. "Still negative. He always claimed that this has nothing to do with him. He said that he was framed by Jake and did not know anything. He also said that you knows him well and know that he won't do it. "

Tanya's lip's twitched up. "He was still suspicious. Continue interrogating him. I'll go talk to Jake."

The interrogator nodded and went to Rolando's interrogation room while Tanya entered Jake's interrogation room.

Jake slowly looked up and saw Tanya. He just smirked and didn't say anything.

Tanya gritted her teeth as she turned off the voice recording under the table. She sat in front of him.

"Why did you do it? "she asked directly.

Jake just shut his eyes and did not say anything.

"Are you using my trust towards you and stole the document?!"

Still no response. Tanya laughed bitterly. "Haha. Why are you not answering me?! By that silence of yours, are you admitting it?! "

There was a pain in her eyes as she beggingly asked him. "Tell me Jake.... Tell me that you did not steal it. "

Jake didn't open his mouth and just let Tanya talked.

Tanya stared at him for a long time hoping that Jake would look at her and say that he's not the one who did it. But, the room was eaten by silence entirely.

Until a knock awaken Tanya. Tanya calmed herself and wiped the tears on her face that unconsciously came out.

"Come in. "

A guard outside came inside with a folder in his hands. "Manager, Miss Astria wants to give this to you. "

Tanya recognized the folder. It was the folder Astria was holding yesterday. Frowning, she accepted it and the guard went out again.

Didn't this folder has an evidence of Mr. Gabriel's affairs on the outside? That was what Astria said, right? Tanya was puzzled. Jake opened his eyes and it fell to the folder. He was also curious.

Tanya opened it and she immediately froze.

Her eyes widened in shock and absurdly looked at the picture on her hands. Her heart skipped a beat as her body trembled. Her hands unconsciously soften and the folder fell in the table.

Jake who was watching her can't help but frown at her reaction, he looked at the folder and like Tanya, he was unbelievably shock!

This..... this is the picture with me and Gia! How did she.....

He remembered that Astria was the one who want to give that to Tanya. His body stiffened. How did she know about this?! How did she know about Gia?! And this picture..... it was taken the day where Tanya go to a meeting without him!

It was also the day that he stole the Business Plan, and after that he met up with her for a date!

Jake was puzzled greatly, how did Astria manage to get this picture?

On the other hand, Astria, when she met Jake in Tanya's office the time that the Business Plan was stolen, she read his mind and found out he's cheatings and the memory of him and Gia's date. She simply went to the restaurant where they ate and asked for a CCTV footage to get the picture. Of course, the owner won't agree so she used some underhanded tactics.

She did this to give Tanya an evidence about his cheating.

Tanya can't take her eyes on the folder. The woman is also beautiful, unlike her, the woman carried an innocent and fragile appearance.

"Y-you...... what is t-this?"Tanya asked stuttered.
