Ember Frost’s POV
Life at this school felt completely different, in the best way. Compared to the schools I attended back in the Moonshine Pack, this place had a warmer, more welcoming vibe. The students were easy to get along with, and that made every day more enjoyable.
Here, I didn’t have to worry about someone hiding slimy frogs in my locker just because I didn’t fit in.
“Hey Ember! The Theater Club’s rehearsing today, and we thought we’d lend a hand. Want to tag along?”
“Yeah, I spotted the poster on the board earlier. You guys will be performing ‘Petals of Change’, right?” I smiled at them and gave their hands a gentle squeeze. “It sounds like it’ll be so much fun, but I won’t be able to make it. You know I have training after school—don’t tell me you forgot!”
