I couldn’t stop staring at shattered glass pieces on the counter and on floor. The kitchen was silent for a moment with neither Ian nor I speaking a word. It seemed that we had both just grasped the magnitude of the situation and we were still trying to recover from the shock of what had happened. “Oh my God!.” Ian exclaimed before rushing over to me on the other side of the counter. “Are you okay?
