Chapter Nine

I was at an empty field surrounded with dead brown grass. A girl was on the ground, tied up with heavy chains. She was covered in dirt and her own blood. Her wrists were blood red from the tight chains. Her head was down so her brown head covered her face. Suddenly she raised her head and we made eye contact. I flinched at the color of her eyes. They were a sharp blinding blue color that was really terrific to stare at for too long. But I couldn’t look away. Her eyes held mine captive making it difficult for me to look else where. “Help me.” She said to me but her lips never moved. It was as if me looking into her eyes made it possible for me to read her mind. “Please.” She sounded distressed and I just stood there clueless about what to do.
