Chapter 12 After Edythe left, early on Saturday morning, Jed felt very lonely and impatient. He never liked waiting for things to happen. He wanted to rush Edythe off to get married, defy Russell, and end the worries that plagued both Edythe and Larry. Now that he knew what the true situation was, he wanted to act.
